Is it possible to contact a government representative to help with you case? Also, if all else fails take your case to the court of public opinion via the media. Remember the squeeky wheel gets the oil!
Good luck

You need an attorney to find out your rights. One potential problem is most states have an abandonment statute.
By the way who has legal custody?

If you have contacted a lawyer and that hasn't gotten you very far, try finding an advocacy group in your area. I know there is one in my area that helps fathers with issues such as yours. They often have other ideas and even support groups that help you during this time.

You have to file with the court for visitation. As long as they can locate the child's mother, she will have to appear in court before the judge who decided whether or not you get to see our child.

I would imagine that if she does not have legal custody, you can take her to court for yourself to get it.
