remeber one thing.....there are plenty of fish in the sea...dont tie yourself down to just one person.if your parents think it is a bad idea to date him it probably is... be his friend and if it is meant to be, things will work out.

Age is nothing, but you wanna make sure he is not a player or a guy that will use you and dump you.
No matter who he is, dont be too easy with him and then you will have him for a long time.
About the Parents, ask them what age they think you should date, be open and see what they think. In case you will have a succesful relationship with that guy then you go and tell themits for real and you both in love, and age will be the last thing they will worry about, if you are happy and been together for a long time.

Well it depends on you age if you are under 16 I would say that you should listen to you parents because they are probably right about you dating this guy. However if you are 16 or older then I will say to you that you are a young woman & if you feel confident that you are ready to deal with an other man go for it.

age is nothing. i like a guy 11 years older.
but the long distance thingie... just make sure u dont put the burden of you dating this guy on ur parents. $$ wise (for phone calls) and etc. and u sound young... young people date behind their parent's back all the time! so yeaa... go for it!

It all depends on your distance, age and commitment. If your parents have a problem with it, I don't think it would be in your best interest to try and go against their word especially since you have to abide by their rules because you live under their roof.

if you are 13 & 16, then i agree with your parents, and even if you're 15 & 18, i agree with them. At that age, guys are only after one thing. Wait at least until you are 17 to date someone that much older. it's a big difference in their life & yours at those ages.

Three years isn't that much, unless your 10 and he's 13 or another silly young age equivalent.

Men are predators, women are prey. Men, especially teenage men, want to have sex all the time.

They talk to you so they can have sex, hold the door for you so they can have sex with you, are nice to you because they want to have sex with you, etc.

This guy is out to nail you, and if your father finds out about this prick, his going to open up a fresh can of whoop ***.

i really dont think that should be much of a problem. i've seen worse. if you like each other then go for it. i met a guy at webdatedotcom and he is 5 years older than me. my parents were against our relationship but we pulled through. i guess its just a matter of how much you are willing to sacrifice for the one you love.

age is just a matter of numbers!
why would your parents care about the person's age? they're not the ones going on a relationship with him, it's you.
as long as you are happy and seems contented with him, go ahead. finding love shouldn't be base on age! it's the magic of 2 souls meeting at a certain point...

depending on the age here if your young. stick with your age range around your current situation. Theres many fish in the sea. Even if it doesnt seem that way. If you feel completely in love with this person and know that it is 100% love they why not take a chance.
