If you are to speak out against this proposal I suggest that you center your case around cost. Point out that the introduction of such a scheme could be a financial burden on the less advantaged parents. The introduction of such a scheme could in fact be the cause of dissension amongst students whose parents are not financially well off and could cause further hardship for both the parents and students. Why is the school waiting until the 21st century to consider the implementation of dress codes? (make that an argument also as it tends to weaken their case) and if the school wish to press ahead with dress codes, what extent of financial assistance do they intend to provide to parents as there would almost certainly be a cost to bear. (once you start to talk money this usually frightens them off as well) Good Luck with your debate and let me know how you went!

(Even though I'm for dress codes, I'll help you out)

Dress codes restrict personal individuality by forcing students and teachers to conform to the preferences of society. The only thing that should not be allowed is clothing that exposes parts of the body that should be covered as required by law(genitals, anus, and areolas)

There's nothing wrong with wearing an article of clothing that advertises a certain brand. If people are allowed to wear clothing that promotes Nike, Levi, Pepsi, and Tommy H, then it should be allowed to promote Budweiser, Camel, and Marlboro.

If kids are forced to have a dress code the teachers should also have a dress code. If parents are force to spend money on uniforms teachers and the princioal should have too also.

Well, one thing against it is that it discourages individuality and school should be a place where the unique individual is important.
