For the simple fact that it makes no logical sense to prove the non-existence of everything that doesn't exist there no need to prove the existence of something else that doesn't exist.

Sandy,

Hey, I know you may have good intentions, but you're going at this the wrong way. God doesn't need you to defend him; you're wasting time and reputation arguing for no reason.

You can't argue a person into heaven; they've got to experience the love of Christ for themselves.

Just a thought here:

1 Timothy 6:20-21
"Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith."

In Christ,

Well apart from the obvious - the burden of proof does not lie with me but with you!, you say "I want you to make up your proof? OK, God does not exist! So sayeth "Me", go forth and spread the word, write it down and distribute books saying this and if anyone does not agree with the word of "Me" then consider them a heretic and refuse them the benefits of science.

If this went on for a couple of thousand years, no doubt people would have been burned at the stake, excommunicated from scientific societies etc wars raged in the name of "Me" and the whole stupid saga begins again. Starting to see a repetitive picture forming? Pretty soon the burden of proof would be on the followers of "Me" to prove that God doesn't exist!

Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!!!!

There, get it, I made up my proof.

Neither Atheists nor Theists can actually -prove- anything. You can't use an old book as proof. (Bible, New and Old Testements, Quran, etc) I personally think that certain events described in these religious works could have happened, but the presence of an actual divine being is questionable. It's a question of faith, or lack there of. I think everyone just needs to leave each other alone.

There is no scientific way in which to contact, measure, communicate with, see, hear, feel or experience God. Plus, there are many contradictions in the Bible. Such as sacrifical dogmas. I base my opinions on logic and literature. And from what I have seen, I am correct in my assumptions. I'm not religious, per se, but I do believe in a higher power than our human minds can be cognizant of.

Also prove to me that there is a God, without using the Bible or faith. There's your challenge right back at you.

Burden of proof isn't on me, sorry. You're the one claiming that some omnipotent being created the universe, it's up to YOU to prove that. I don't have to do a damn thing. Otherwise what prevents me from just making up and crap I want, and claiming it's true unless someone can prove me wrong? If I tell you an invisible sentient glob of pudding from another dimension created the universe, I must be right, because you can't prove it's not true! This is your logic, really?

I can't prove that a god doesn't exist. All I can do is show that the bible has errors and contradictions. Then I can logically show that it makes no sense for there to be a god like most xians believe in (omnipotent, omniscient, omnibenevolent). As for other gods, much much harder to prove since they are assumed to be much more human in tempermant and not so perfect.

This is an idiotic question/challenge. The burdon of proof does not lie with the non-believeres, it falls squarely on the shoulders of those that believe. The reason this is a faulty question is that you cannot prove non-exsistance, but you're supposed to be able to offer proof of exsistance...good luck with that, skippy.

first of all, from the beginning of human race, from animism, human are filled with fear. the mystery of existence.
they used to fear the thunder, fire. they worship tree, sky, etc.
but the more they advance their intellectual, science, they begin to see that their belief is wrong. but still human need answers to feel safe, to feel secure. that is God concept.
science proof it. psychology also proof that god is reaction of our deepest fear, that's why we feel good when we pray in our times of trouble.
some other facts is if God really exist, which God do exist ? Christian's God or Islam's God or other's God ? cause somehow i can't see that their God is one. (through the bible, the teachings, the war)
but i guess it depend on how you describe God itself. if it means love, that i agree. but if its about the creator of universe, that we burden original sin, that idea just not make sense for me.
well you could say i'm an atheist and somehow Buddhism concept is make sense for me (albert einstein also state it). since Buddhism is also atheism.
in summary, i don't believe in god, in religion.
i believe in love, humanity of Jesus, Buddha, etc

I do believe in God. I would still like to answer your question. There is no way to prove a negative statement. This is why our courts have to prove a person is guilty, instead of a person having to prove that they are not. To prove that God does not exsist is imposible, even if it were true.

Trying to prove a negative does not work. Where is your irrefutable, hard, physical proof of a god? You cannot produce any. So, believer...make up your proof...
