I have a wild rose bush about 4ft in diameter, can I graft premium roses from the nursery or the florest to some of the branches?
How?

yeah, you make a kinda T shape incission and stick a bud in it - but indeed you need a drawing and a couple of tools and also the proper season of the year! Also u dont need to buy the premium rose, you just look around in other proples gardens which rose you like the best and ask the person for the bud - best buds are found under a dead flower - on hard mature wood, not on young , fleshy stems. Also you can graft different roses on one stem, anyway i recommend grafting several buds in case all of them dont survive.

Well it really depends on how old your rose bush is. If it is old then you can do it but if it is new it is really hard. You need to get some grafting wax. I cannot really explain to you how to graft without a diagram but you can get it out of a gardening book. I would get the roses from the the nursery. If you get it from the florest it can be pact with cytokinins. You really do not want too much cytokinins in your rose bush. It just isn't good.
