Just like pizza, I actually like fried chicken better when it's cold. My husband thinks that disgusting, but who asked him anyway?

LAWD YES!!!! and for some reason when you're planning to eat it cold it tastes best when consumed around 2:30 am... i'ont know what the deal is with that.... And on another note I know its a cliche that black people love fried chicken but who DOESN'T like fried chicken!?! FRIED CHICKEN FOR ALL!!!!!
EASY DELICIOUS FRIED CHICKEN:
my mom used to make her chicken this way and its the easiest best tasting homemade fried chicken ive ever eaten...
1 bag of party wings (i'ont like big drumsticks cause they never seem to cook well this way) or boneless chicken breast pieces
season salt, pepper and salt
about 2 cups of flour-- it just depends on how much chicken ur making
vegetable oil
(seriously no measuring is really needed for this recipe)
PREPARATION:
defrost and rinse wings, fill a large bowl 1/3 of the way with water and season it with salt. add chicken to water mix and poke the chicken with a fork to get the salt into the chicken. Let it soak in bowl while you setup flour. Mix flour and seasonings to taste (yes actually taste the flour seasoning mixture) it should be pretty flavourful (salty). Start heating cast iron skillet or pan now and fill with about 1-1 1/2 inches vegetable oil (start heating at this point so oil doesnt burn before you can do all the chicken). Grab a couple wings from the BOTTOM of bowl of water (theyll be the most wet) and throw into flour mix. I prefer to bury the chicken in the flour than roll because burying gets you a nice thick coating. When oil pops with a few drops of water, throw in the wings. Turn once when golden brown (watch the pan cause it cooks quickly) and scoop chicken out onto a baking sheet with a few layers of paper towels. Continue frying wings in bunches and add more oil to pan as needed. when youre done enjoy first batch which should be cool enough to eat!

Cold homemade chicken and pizza hut hut pizza are the best.
When you get ready to fry it season your chicken as well as the flour. Use black pepper, paprika, a little dashof Old Bay's lemon and herb seasoning, garlic powder, a dash of onoion powder, and some cayenne pepper. Fry it up in the oil, then let it sit out to get room temp. then put it in the fridge. if you do this when you come in from work then by midnight it will be nice and cold, if you don't have that much time to wait then stick it in the freezer for about an hour after it gets room temp. Enjoy. i hope this helped you. Also if you live near a SaveALot then you should get some honey bar b que sauce from there. dip the cold chicken in that and it is finger licking good (it's best when the sauce isn't cold, just the chicken). Enjoy.

Dip dry chicken in beaten egg that has had a LOT of salt and pepper added. roll in flour and cook slowly in a heavy skillet in medium hot oil that comes up about halfway on the chicken. Cook and turn, Cook and turn until it's about the color of a walnut shell. Take your time. Start it first and then make the fixen's to go with it. With practice you can hear a change in the sound it makes that will tell you when it's done. I don't care what the others say, your right this has got pizza and spagetti beat all to ****

Yes, when I get off the plane and being held by authorities for some drug in my bag, I just start cravin' cold fried chicken. Sometimes I'm in a lot of pain, out of scrips and Esmirelda ain't here to score some ju-ju pills, so I reach for Cold Fried Chicken. It makes me hard just thinkin' about it.

The trick to good fried chicken is in the preparation and in the cooking of it. You can soak pieces in buttermilk for a few hours. Take a cup of flour, tsp of salt, tsp of pepper, add some garlic powder, paprika for color and zip . Mix dry ingredients together, in shallow plate I use pie plate. One at a time dip the chicken still wet from buttermilk into the flour, covering all pieces. Let stand on plate in fridge till flour drys on. Then take your shortening and heat in cast iron skillet. Now put your chicken pieces into the preheated hot oil. Don't overcrowd. Cooking on a medium heat till when fork poked in they don't bleed. Breasts cook quicker that dark meat. Or you could always go visit the Colonel.

If it's freezing cold when it comes from the fridge, you may want to check the temp settings. It sounds like you have it too low. But I do sometimes enjoy some cold KFC when I get the midnight munchies. It's good just as is.

ya churches chicken is the best! THE BEST IS COLD. If you cook it yourself skin it rinse with water dip in egg wash and flour. If you need salt and pepper its best if you put it on after you dip in the egg wash and before the flour. Always have the pan preferably cast iron skillet. have it good and hot. Be sure you cook at least 20 min on each side so no food poisoning. After cook you HAVE to cool completely before putting away in the ice box. if you don't the breading on the chicken sweats and it sucks. Also try a pickled pepper. they are awesome especially churches chicken. Good luck. Call me when its ready!!
