First, I find it ironic that a Christian is persecuting Islam....but i've come to expect that from Christians. The reality is that most those who believe in the Islamic faith do so at a level of spirituality unknown to most Christians. They just don't read the koran on Sunday and pretend to be religious like so many American christians...they live it...day in and day out.

Second, to withdraw from Iraq at this point would be a great transgression against humanity. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's depend on the presence of the US and supporting nations for their very lives. If the US would leave the country at this point, the extremeists (who hold the majority) would commit genocide and wipe out at least 25% of the population if not a much higher percentage. Right or wrong...now we are there and we MUST stay and see it through.

Third, It's spelled Civilization.

Fourth, is there belief in martyrdom so unrealistic? I heard a christian the other day say something along the lines "Oh, the hindu's worship cows and elephants and believe them to be gods...what a silly stupid ignorant point of view". Yes, stupid...nothing like the very believeable story of a man walking across water, conjuring food for thousands and rising from the dead.

Fifth, the real question should be "How do we get across to those people who believe in religion to stop being idiots and realize that just because someone doesn't believe the same fairy tale as them that it doesn't make them wrong."

We'll NEVER get them to admit that, as we see it, it's a silly idea.
Yes it has horrendously bad consequences but they know that already and planned it that way. The only way we'll get them to back down is to stop making Iraq into a modern day parallel of Vietnam becuase their country is in tatters but we can't help, and even if we could they're never going to accept it. So we may as well leave and see a lot of the fighting stop.

Well this is America and they have the freedom to believe as they want.
Of course if they are interested in the Truth they will not find it where they are looking. Their hope is in something that will never totally satisfy. They will always need another side to temporarily hope for. They dont understand that they need a Light to show them the way.
