well it's all about who u ask. u ask a normal person, they say no, it's fine. u ask the church, they say you are sinning (not ALL churches though), and if you ask Peter Griffin, you caused the dinosaurs to go extinct because u touch yourself at night.
but u ask me, i'd say a man's gotta do, what a man's gotta do. just be careful and don't get anything in your eyes and for god's sakes, try not to get adventurous with it.

the question can't be answered with a yes or no without knowing more about exactly what, when, how, where and why you are masterbating. Touching oneself for pleasure and self-examination are vital components of healthly human behavior. It is all the other factors such as where you are doing it (e.g. in your own private space vs. in a publicly used place), how you are doing it (e.g. just hands or muscle control vs. in a watermelon, between a mattress, with a sexual device) and why you are doing it (e.g. you are trying to get to sleep/relax vs. you were spying on the good looking guy/girl next door and are now hot and bothered). For males there is the moral/religious aspect of "wasting" sperm. Sperm are living organisms and are a real part of you---at least give them some respect. Masterbation doesn't necessarily have to end in orgasm and the "spilling of seed", so the real "dirty" part can be avoided altogether. Many cultures over the ages have stressed masterbation to the point just before orgasm as sexual "training" for both men and women, saving the orgasm for sex with a partner, and thus making it more special. Not a bad idea. I personally feel that masterbation at its highest level can be a great way to combine an experience of safe (and satisfying) sexuality with self-exam of the genitals and body. Don't limit yourself to just touching the "naughty bits". Tickle, poke, prod, touch the rest of your body too. Use a mirror to look at what you are doing (sort of a live self-porno movie). You of all people should know what it looks like down below! This can be life saving if you ever have any health-related problems in that area, because you will know what it looks like and if anything has changed. Masterbation isn't a replacement for regular sex, it should be thought of as sextime with yourself. Think of masterbation as "me time" and enjoy yourself. Here are some good rules to masterbate by: 1) Keep it simple and just use hands, muscle control and deep breathing, 2) Find a clean, private place where you won't be disturbed by anyone, 3) Clean up afterwards. Don't leave any stickiness that someone else might come in contact with. Have fun!

Wrong? No. What is right and wrong anyway?
I do know that if you need to relieve yourself and you don't, you may become violent and potentially end up releasing that energy in negative forms such as rape, violence or even keeping it internally you may cause prostate problems.
As far as religion goes - now you know why there are so many problems with the church and those that are so into their beliefs that they'd molest children, rape women and kill people as long as they ask for forgiveness. If you ask me, I think everyone should masterbate.

You know, Bro ??......if it was wrong, God would not have given you hands.
If you start to talk to your hand or prefer to stay home rather than go out on a date.....then it's a problem.
Something to think about .......would the world be a better place if more Men masturbated ??? (think about stories of child molestation, so many MEN in Prison, and so forth)
Us being young boys to men......we need this release.....or else it causes insanity.....and leads us into destructive impulses.
Take it easy, dude... you're doin' fine.

No you're not wrong. Why would you be? Its the safest way to have sex without jeopardizing your health. It helps you become in tune with your body. Now if its an addiction then yes you are wrong to be that addicted to it but if it does not affect your daily life then go ahead. Beat it to your hearts content.

Your only wrong if you have no desire to. Then you should worry! The bible doesn't say a thing about it...only the Catholics who believe every sperm is sacred-say it's a sin. The Catholics oppose wasting sperm because more babies, mean more followers in your clergy, who can make more money for the Church! More Catholics mean more power!
**** away.

Ask Jocelyn Elders, former Surgeon General of the US. She was all in favor of it, still is - see Penn & Teller's "BS" show on this. Sex education is a good thing.
If you're doing this instead of having irresponsible unsafe sex, sure.
FYI it's spelled "masturbate."

Nothing wrong with masturbation. Everyone does it. Just don't tell your parents, friends, religious folk, neighbors, your roomates next doors' freinds former cousins uncle freinds. hehe

Hey if you enjoy your own company, grab yourself some lotion, a box of kleenex, your fav photo and enjoy! You can scream anyone's name you want, it'll still be there in the morning. Don't forget your balls, they need love too.
