why do i hate the rain in winter but love it in the summer?

Being warm and wet is sensual and pleasant. Being cold and wet is miserable and sick making. Besides, it doesn't freeze into a bust yer butt ice sheet in summer.

you're definitely not crazy. I'm the same way. For me, I feel more depressed and sad in the winter when there isn't as much daylight, it's cold...it just totally affects my mood. The air is harder to breathe and it totally affects the way I live. Also, rain in the winter = ice. And i hate driving on ice.

But in the summer, a nice cool rain on a hot day is warm and relaxing. It feels wonderful. It's refreshing and wonderful. It's like this, would you rather drink an icy cold beverage in the summer or the winter? :)

I think that I'm the same way. I think I like the Summer rain better because it gives refreshment to the environment and it has a certain smell to it, can't really explain it though. While in the Winter, its cold and sometimes dry but above all still cold. The rain doesn't feel the same at that time, it feels just wet. LOL. Maybe you could relate to my opinion.

maybe because in the summer the rain is warmer and smells sweet just like the smell of fresh cut grass as for the winter rain it is more on the cold dreay side which makes us feel sad and withdrawn but it makes a good stay inside movie kind of day so just think of the winter rain as an opperuntity to watch the movie or movies you have been wanting to watch

Because the rain is cold in the winter and it is probably depressing. But in the summer it is refreshing because the days are so hot.

Winter is usually slow and cold, the only time most people like winter is the first fallen snow and the Holidays otherwise...Summer is fresh and clean, the rain cleans and makes things new. Good question though

Everything is gray and asleep and appears dead in the winter. So the rain just makes it that much more gray and dreary. In the Summer everything is alive and vibrant and you can feel the rain adding to life!
