Yeah you can, but I wouldn't let them sit in marinade in the fridge for very long like you can do with other meats. They'd probably get fairly soggy and fall apart.

Your best bet would be to use the marinade as seasoning while you're cooking (or just before). You can use homemade marinades or bottled seasoning (Worcestershire sauce)...whatever you and your family like!

You can marinade a burger - my suggestion is to make the patties first, then dip the burgers into the marinade. Take them out and let them sit for a few minutes (around 5). Pour a little marinade over the burgers as they cook. If you soak the burger and then try to pattie it out - they seem to fall apart during cooking. You don't want to soak burger in a marinade for hours either. The best marinade that I have found for burgers is 1.) Dales Seasoning. Its near the stk sauces - has a white label - DALES. 2.) If you like Italian dressing - it is Awesome! Gives it a litle kick and punch of flavor. 3) Try some Worchestershire - I suggest just sprinkle it on during cooking - otherwise it gets too strong and potent. This is my least favorite.

****Try porkchops marinated in Italian dressing. WISHBONE brand is best.

You could but it will 'marinade' in the sauce. Season your meat before adding the tomatoes, spices, etc and then just let it simmer for 30 minutes to an hour and it will be full of flavor.

You can baste a burger while it's cooking, but I would suggest adding the marinade to the meat when making the patties.
