Why would anyone choose to be Muslim?

It's one of the mysteries of the universe.... I personally don't understand why anyone would face mecca if they acutally read the book that outlines that particular faith. I've read it.... I am continually amazed by its adherents.

Well if we looked to the facts here you will find that
1. The Quraan is still in its original language Arabic while other Books lost their Original language

2. The Quraan was never changed from more about 1400 years while other books had been added on by historians and translators

believe me, if you read the right books and talk to the right people, you will learn to understand Islam, it is a great religion but nobody really knows much about it.and most of what you hear is not true or it is said in the wrong way. Islam is really peaceful and a true and I repeat a true Muslim has great manners and personality, they do not stink, they do not enjoy killing, but they love to live in peace .and enjoy life and be like any other human in the world
