Truth is not relative. You don't pick your own truth. Although theres religions that say this (New Age) or combine all religions (Bahai) it is false. Christianity is by definition exclusive as well as most all religions I can think of. There's some people that will go to heaven and others that won't. If all religions were true, all people would go to heaven and there wouldn't be a purpose to this life or the next.

It really depends on your outlook. All religions offer essentially the same thing - something to have faith in and somewhere to go after death. When taken down to their cores, or religions are essentially the same and if any religion is true in essentials, then they all are. So the core foundation of each religion may very well be true. The difference then lies in the ideologies of these religions. Maybe there is one true God and each religion simply sees him in a different light? Then they're all true, simply with different perspectives. Just like you and I can both look at the color red but see it in a slightly different way. The color is still red, the essentials remain constant. But my view of the color isn't any less true than yours. I look at religion like that.

I believe that they are all equally untrue!

No one really has any clue about what might or might not be out there. Religion is just something people make up to make themselves feel better. And if they don't like an existing religion, they change it or make a new one to suit thier purposes. Look at how many offshoots there are off of Christianity....

yes all religions can be equally true!

spirituality will get you through

your personal relationship with The Creator

that's enough to do

to do

to do

to do

and here we are back in oz
and there is thee
little black dog
a layin by my side
and you will chew the legs off of anything that is bad

even the religion of oz can be equally true

if it is meant for you

maybe not for me or another

it doesn't matter what opiate you choose

they all serve one purpose like a: barbiturate

seek peace and pursue it in the personal relationship with The Creator

Maintain a sense of constant communion

This is spirituality

and

Spirituality will get you through
When religion will just not do

not do

not do

Not equally. They can all have an element of truth, but they can't all be equally true purely because the contradictions would cancel out there other if they all ended up being true, thus making them not true, thus voiding the argument.

yes they can be eqully true. Because you can devide the truth as absolute truth and relative truth. When it comes to aboslute truth no religion can survive. It means that every religion is a relative truth. It simply means that what is truth to you may not be or even can be false to me. Finally no religion will be an absolute truth.

I think religions are made by men, so there is no religion that tells the absolut true!

Obviously, each person will have their own answer.

However, I once heard this really nice metaphor. It was that we're all searching for a way to get to the top of the mountain, to find truth. But we're all getting to the top of the mountain from a different route. Each person finds their own truth in their own way, but all call be different visions of the same thing.

Effectively yes. Maybe God sent down several messengers to spread his word.

Each of the seven major religions in the world have the same basic rules, such as don't kill, don't rape, don't steal, etc..

Maybe we should all respect each others beliefs and follow our own. We'll be also following each others, too.

Just a thought...
