My girlfriend has a 400 horsepower motor behind her jaw that keeps her talking non-stop. I have my own theories as to why this is but I am curious what the general populous feels is the reason behind it.

It's called overcompensation. You probably never talk. And, your silence made her believe you didn't like her. So, she figures if she just continues yapping, it will magically fix things.

Being a quiet guy, I prefer to date a girl who has a "400 horsepower motor behind her jaw", because in that way, I never going to run out of subjects to talk with her.

First of all, who on earth are you meeting? Secondly, not all women use the word, "like." It's absolutely pointless and idiotic to overuse such a word. You're just meeting the inarticulate females. And, we are women. We can talk about nothing all the time, we can giggle about anything. We love laughing. We're happy person. Would you rather date someone who was miserable and never giggled ? And also, I feel like you're meeting highschoolers.

Oh please! I know men that talk non stop and just never have anything important to say. Everybody within hearing distance wishes they would shut up already. I don't try to figure out what makes them tick.

We just like to talk, I mean, talking is what makes us happy, and makes us find out things about you-even though we know we piss you off. Get used to it, or learn that trick that all guys do.......selective hearing.
