Check with the place you purchased it from. My husband had his ex's ring and took it back to the store and they gave him the am out in in-store credit and he was able to use it for My ring! They took it back and the ring was from 5 years earlier! It is worth a try! good luck.

It really depends. Some people keep it because you never know if the relationship will rebuild. Some sell it back to where they bought it from.
Most probably sell it to a pawn shop for little money.
If I were you, I'd make sure the engangement is gone for good and then try to sell it to the purchasing store or hell keep it and redesign it for the next engagement.

By your user name i am not sure if your male or female. If you female the proper thing to do is give it back to your ex fiance as this was a promise for something to come and that didn't happen. If your the dude then local paper or bring it back to the store you bought it in and see what they say, if that fails ask the women (ie mom or sis) in your life i am sure they will all have all kinds of ideas for the ring.

Ebay or other online auction. You could always pawn it, or sell it through a local advertisement (newspaper, etc)

try the classified ad in your local newspaper, ebay or a pawn shop (you may not get much there)
