I am planning a 40th anniversary party for my in-laws. They never had an actual wedding, so I am going to have them say some vows and it will be a formal event. It is not a surprise. I was just wondering if there was any good websites to go under. I was looking under a search engine but couldn't find anything. Is the 40th always red? (that is fine just curious) I really need help. I live in a small town in VA - Staunton but I really need any great suggestions and websites. Thanks.

Don't worry about sticking with specific colors. Tradition can easily be parted with when doing vow renewals. I would suggest a kind of mini-wedding since they never had one. Perhaps you could do the vow renewal (complete with a bridal bouquet for your mother-in-law); followed by a small dinner. Pasta dinners usually help cut costs because it's cheap and easy to prepare in large quantities, but if there is a family favorite or something that would be nice. You could even do a smaller version of a wedding cake if the party is relatively small. Inexpensive favors can be found online fairly easily.
