To say that both are wrong and totally contrary to what the bible teaches is total ignorance. It shows that this person knows nothing about what she is saying in the least or she would know that the Seventh Day Adventist church is all about going directly by the bible and the bible only verses the other churches that go by the tradition of the Catholic Church. All one has to do is to look at what the leaders in the churches have said about it or read how the law of God was changed by the Catholic Church and is followed by most of the other churches when there is no scriptural authority to do so.
To answer your question, there are parallels such as modesty. Both faiths believe in modesty in dress although some do not adhere to it as well as they need to. Health, both believe in eating healthy and leaving out those things that will hurt you that God said not to eat as they are a health hazard. On relationships, both believe in first a good relationship with God, then family. God should always come first in anything we do. Then spouse, with a full life together with no divorce, then children and then the rest of the family. There are going to be some in any religious denomination that do not adhere to all the tenets of the church but all in all, there are many aspects that are similar in the Adventist and Islamic faiths. To follow the truth in any church, you need go to scripture to see if it is according to God or man. As in Isaiah 8:20, "to the law, (God's law) and to the testimony, (God's teachings) if they do not speak according to this Word, (the bible) there is NO LIGHT in them." Let that be your test of what is truth. If it is not according to the bible, don't believe it as it is lies. There are many parallels in the two faiths you mentioned but there are some very distinct differences that you should note if you study both. In Islam, they do not go by the bible alone but have a prophet that teaches things that are not in the bible. As even the Catholic Church has in her writings, and I can show you in print from their publishers, "if you want to go by the scripture only, you need to be a Seventh Day Adventist." Other churches take the traditions and teachings of the Catholic Church and do not even realize where it comes from for the most part and those that do know, are not telling the congregations the truth.

Yer on drugs now.
I was raised as Seventh Day Adventist, and I can tell you that there are no similarities. Okay, they both had a false prophet, the the SDA church admits that theirs was not really a prophet.
This I believe; http://homelessheart.com/testimony.htm
