I have always named my dogs according to their breed and what they look like. Tough breeds, a tougher name, dorkey or dumpy breeds a dorkey or dumpy name. Example: Mocha my pit bull is brown (her nickname is Moe). Radar, my Rotweiller instantly scoped things out when she heard them--like radar honing in on an object. Dudley, a basset hound that I had was droopy and he looked like a dud. I used to raise bassets and had over the years: Matilda, Bogey, Wendell, Fannie May to name a few....

Depends, think about the time period you like and pick out a couple's names from that period. Ex...Napoleon and Josephine, Caesar and Cleopatra, Zeus and Hera or if you want something a little more funny... Sonny and Cher, Fred and Wilma, Lucy and Ricky, etc...good luck
