No you cannot. The Ford Explorer was not designed for 3rd row seats

I asked my husband who thinks he knows everything about Fords and he said no, not all explorers have the third row seats.

2002 was the first year they offered the 3rd row. xlt and up for trim it was optional. unavailable on the xls. in 2004 they started a xls lease special with a third row. they can still be ordered with a 3rd row delete. on xlt and up and as a add on option for xls. hope this helps
