Why are people so quick to judge and condemn young teenagers or young adults who have no sexual experience whatsoever, but find that they are attracted to members of their own gender, and may or may not be attracted to members of the opposite gender? Why are Christians who are supposed to be reflecting God's love telling them they are going to hell even though they have not yet commited the sin and acting as if their own sins are so much less offensive to God? Don't you think that's going to make the tormented soul say, "Well, why bother, I may as well do it since I'm going to hell anyway?"

I think i agree with you on this one, Christian should have more loves and understand for this kind of issue, they shouldn't condemn directly without knowing detail or why or give more understanding to the related people so at least they have time to learn or decide what they wish to do for both side.

No matter we accept or not, the world has changed...It didn't mean we do changed by the world, but we may need to learn how to balance ourselves so we can find the best possible way to help or cares about those that they are "different"!

I will attempt this without a biased approach. Yes, as many people have previously stated, homosexuality is a sin. I believe homosexuality is a mental condition that can be prevented. If indeed homosexuality was genetic or you were born that way, the lifestyle or genes for this lifestyle would die. Therefore, eliminating homosexuals altogether. Now as per the Christian issue; We are not perfect for if we were Jesus would not have needed to die on the cross. We make mistakes, many Christians confuse the deed or lifestyle with the person that is in question. They have problems seperating these aspects and in return their discontent for the lifestyle spills over to the person. We are to love people, although love does not mean to tolerate an act of which God has deemed sinful. The idea behind hellfire and brimstone attitude is to 1) convict any one person of there sins 2) present them with their options if they continue in this lifestyle. Which by the way, there are only two, Heaven and Hell. People who do not confront a young teenagers curiosity, and display anger are likely to push them away. That is exactly why there is a problem of homosexuality, because for many years people chose to ignore issues there children were bringing to them or and a big or at that is sexual abuse can contribute to a homosexual lifestyle.

Let me start by saying that I am a Christian, but I sometimes find that Christians feel they have more of a right to judge than non-Christians and that isn't the case. The bible says "judge not, lest you be judged". Let me say this in love. You are right when you say that no one sin is worse than the other. If I lied to you, I would be sinning, just like someone who is homosexual is sinning. The truth is, in the bible it states clearly that homosexuality is "an abomination" to God. I stated earlier that I am a Christian, but I have gay friends. Do I go around telling them they're going to hell? No. I know that God loves them, but He hates their sin, as well as He hates mine. I do speak to them on deliverance from their sin, though. God can deliver you from these urges or attractions you have toward the same sex. All God requires of us is to recognize our sin and repent (turn away from, stop doing) from it. God will give you the strength you need to do this. I have also listed some Christian resources that may help you below. I hope I have helped in some way! God bless you!

Valid point, but consider that a lot of what you're hearing may be from religious Christians and not true Christians - are you really confused now. First of all, God created no one gay - some people are born heavier with hormones one way or the other, but not gay, experiences or not. When their lives are given to Christ they will then find a complementing mate with probably quite opposite and therefore balancing traits - I can give you an example from a church we visited on Sunday - the music director stood up to lead - my first though was this man is very effeminate - then I met his wife and my first thought was this woman is very masculine and together they were the perfect couple with three beautiful daughters. I'm sorry their are those who cannot get over their religion and be a Christian in love and faith and teach God's word as he gave it to us. But don't give into the pressure of something that is not of God. Be patient with yourself and with God, giving your life to Jesus will iron the indescrepancies that you feel.

You answered your own question with the words "young and inexperienced"
Many teenagers/young adults have trouble deciding what to wear to school tomorrow yet think they are capable of making a life altering choice at such a young age.
I don't necessarily believe God would send anyone to hell other than for non-belief, but I do believe your life impacting decisions can create your own "hell" here on earth!

I don't know or care. It just goes to show you who the ignorant, close minded morons are. Once you figure that out, the rest is easy, just igore them.

The people who judge you dispite their alleged belief systems are hypocrits...they aren't worth a second thought, trust me.

((They let their kids have babies out of wedlock and then murder them via abortion b/c their kids aren't a sinner like you? That's bs. I am so totally over religion. Everyone here has allegedly "Sinned". What was that they said about casting the first stone?!?" *sigh* Hypocrits. Learn to teach by example will you?))

Go find a gay friendly community, I hear they exist somewhere. If you're really PO you could join in some sort of reform movement....
Do something instead of whining...you might get somewhere.

"Why are people so quick to judge and condemn young inexperienced gay teenagers?"

Because the ones doing the judging are stupid and they don't know anything. They think one can "choose" homosexuality just as one chooses what shirt to wear...yet you never hear of them describing how they "chose" heterosexuality! Seriously, I want some straight, gay-hating, born-again Christian to describe to me the exact moment when they made the decision to be straight. They can't do it because that isn't how sexuality works. They need to quit believing in the outdated notions of a book full of cruelty, violence, hatred, and antiquated myths and use their brains for a change.

A true Christian should not judge or condem others for their actions. We are all sinners and our faith in Jesus Christ will save anyone who believes. The sins we truely should be concerned with are in the 10 Commandments. I do not believe the Bible says homosexuality is a sin but it was seen as unclean. Is if is a sin, then is any one sin any worse than another? Should we as sinners judge each other or help each other find our way to salvation?

The reason you are "condemned" by Christians (using the term very loosely) is that most people that say they are Christian have not studied the Bible, and only follow what they are being told by people who are not the leaders of their church organization, or the leaders are just as ignorant as them (after all, anyone can open a church in the US, you just need people to follow you). Mature, intelligent Christians will not judge you, whether you do the act or not. Please, do not judge all Christians and Christianity by the acts of the ignorants. I don't judge you by homosexuals I have seen that tarnish the image of homosexuals.

i am a Roman Catholic and proud to be one... God will forgive you for everything, the two sins he cannot forgive is blasphomy and not beleive in Him...being gay doesnt mean you are going to hell, people say that because they dont understand it and they are not use to it...have you ever heard someone say you're going to hell for fornicating? or having an affair? no! cause they all do it! SAD it really is...just as long as you beleive in God and do right by him...you're straight ( no pun intended lol)
