Be thrifty and efficient. The main two global warming gases are CO2 and methane. Below, I address how to curb the emission of these two gases.

In the Winter, wear sweaters and thermal underwear indoors while turning the thermostat down. In the Summer, go really light on the AC. This will reduce the CO2 emission by your local utility.

Drive a small fuel efficient car. And, drive as little as you can. Take public transportation to commute. Bike to your local stores. This will reduce the CO2 emitted by our auto fleet.

Eat a vegetarian diet. It is a far more efficient way to feed ourselves. This is instead of growing cattle that drains our soil minerals, and water resources. This will reduce emission of methane from cattle's flatulence.

Gas usage is a huge problem with americans. Cars produce carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide which creates global warming so next time you have to go to the store, walk or bike instead. Also replace the most used lightbulbs in your house with fluresent lights. When buying new appliances look for the "energy efficient star"- to find out about that go to www.energystar.gov Planting a native tree also helps a lot, trees suck up carbon dioxide and produce clean air. Also you petition your mayor to sign the Climate Protection Act.

Get as much information about the true cause of glabal warming. I think the earth itself is the major cause, for example volcanoes spue millions of tons of chlorine into the atmosphere each year. Oceans give up hundreds of millions of tons of chlorine each year also. Is man really the culprit? I think not. Keep studying learning and talking to those who really know.

Recycle, make sure your homes are as energy efficient as possible, and buy automobiles that are more fuel efficient.

Don't say stop driving, because most of us can't, especially in how our nation is set up, which is much less densely populated than many others areas of the world.
