Prenatal vitamins are fro women who are looking to get pregnant or are pregnant. Not for young women who wants thier hair and nails to grow. Those prenatal vitamins are all the vitamins a women should have in a day so that the baby has all the vitamins and nutrients it needs to grow while still inside ur tummy. Try eating a big spoonful of peanut butter every day for a few months. You have do it everyday or it won't work. I guarantee that you will see a difference in your hair & nails within the first month. There are also polishs for nail growth. There are shampoos, conditioners and other vitamins that can make your hair grow. Talk to your doctor and see what they recommend. If you don't have a regular doctor then go to your local wal-mart or drug store and read the labels on vitamins for women. I like centrum daily for women. Seriously try the peanut butter thing it really does work.

Take a B complex vitamin. The B vitamins help with hair, nails, and skin. If you don't have a well balanced diet a simple multi-vitamin would probably be a better choice. Always consult your doctor before taking medications, even over the counter ones. Including vitamins because if your body gets too many of certain vitamins it can actually cause your body more harm then good.

There is not an age limit on vitamins. There are all sorts of other vitamins like Centrum that are not prenatal. They will also make your hair and nails grow. Just make sure that you talk to a doctor first.

First of all, it's "PRENATAL." Secondly, PRE means before and NATAL means birth.....so...........they are not vitamins to make your hair and nails grow (although they DO have that side effect), they are pills that pregnant women take to make sure the get all the vitamins and nutrients they need during their pregnancy.

Now, I don't think there is a specific age which you have to be, but kids who take vitamins before they are fully developed can harm their growth....so it's best to consult a doctor before starting any vitamin regime.

Note: Actually, prenatal vitamins DO enhance nail and hair growth because of the high levels of calcium....but the balance of vitamins/minerals is especially designed for pregnant women....it is a SIDE EFFECT, not a reason to take them.

These vitamins aren't specifically for hair and nails, but a healthy baby. You can take these vitamins as a young adult, say 15 and up. If you want stronger nails try gelatin, it can also be found in the vitamin aisle.

I would think you're doctor would tell you that you have to be old enough to become pregnant since that is the reason for pre-natal vitamins. Young children aren't supposed to take them because they contain iron and adults aren't supposed to take too many because you can get iron poisoning from them. I had my son two months ago, and I'm still taking the vitamins. I haven't noticed my hair growing any faster but my nails sure have.

I don't think there is a age limit on the vitamins......But there is other ways to make your hair and nails grow....

If you want your hair to grow get a good shampoo and conditioner....Keep your split ends trimmed as well.........
If you want your nails to grow get a nice manicure every other week..........

Don't take pills that you don't know anything about.....They might hurt you in the long run.........

these are just extra potent vitamins.
Over dosing yourself in vitamins that you don't need is not healthy either. If your going to take one make sure it is a vitamin mineral content multi and not just one type of vitamin that is not healthy. I have taken all the college courses on it. I can explain in minute detail why but quite frankly healthy eating will get you farther.
I noticed when I was on those vitamins I had a voracious appetite that was just me and gained weight.

Prenatal vitamins are for women who want to become or already are pregnant.

Nothing will make your hair and nails grow faster- You just have to wait for them to grow, or use extensions and acrylics. Make sure you are eating a well balanced, healthy diet, make sure you get plenty of calcium, and take a multivitamin- for women if you've had puberty, for children if you haven't.

There are actual vitamins that will make your hair and nails grow. Don't take meds that you don't need.
