Dating really isn't all it's cracked up to be. Wait a while and just hang out with your friends. Don't settle on just one boy/girl friend . I'd recommend waiting until your 18.. Trust me I was allowed to date too young (yes there really is such a thing).

The most important thing is to be honest and upfront with them regarding your feelings and behavior. You're not going to win them over to your side by sneaking around behind their backs, it will only make it a lot worse. Let them know that you think that you're physically and emotionally ready to start dating and see how they respond to it. Be sure to let them know that you would welcome and respect their opinions and thoughts on the matter. Try not to get defensive if things don't go your way. If they refuse to let you begin dating, so what? You have your whole life ahead of you. And besides, it is not all that it's cracked up to be. Being 24, I appreciate my independence. And speaking from someone who's been there, believe me that high school relationships NEVER go anywhere. It's fun to date and go out with people, but the emotional problems that almost always result from teenage relationships are almost never worth it. Give it some thought.

Don't tell your dad,if your close to your mom, then tell her. After a while when you get your boyfreind.Tell him if he can talk to your dad.So then your dad has no choice. If he doesnt like him, well thats just to bad.If he does then try not to bring it up so much because your dad will feel like your growing up to fast.lol.Dad's dont like for thier little girls to have that happen most of the time.

Good question. I think 16 seems like a reasonable age to start dating. 15 and below...probably not the right time.

let them know you're interested in a boy and see what they say. and don't overreact if they tell you that you're too young. just go along with it and eventually, they'll let you hang out with boys (with adult supervision, of course).. you have to ease your parents into it cause they're probably still dressing you in easter dresses and stuff. don't just throw it on them.. start slow... when you see a cute boy say something like, oh he's cute.... and just see how they react. chances are, they're not ready for you to date.. which means you won't be. just be respectful of what they say.

Find a decent guy and introduce him to your parents. Once they realize you have good taste and not going to be running around with every "bad boy" in the neighboorhood they'll understand.
