The muslim religion is a man made religion based on machismo rather than spirituality. The people who made up islam had no concept of a God that is no subject to the laws of physics, so the scholars of that religion are forced to find ways to discredit that which they are incapable of understanding.

A Muslim is to believe in the prophets comprising all divinely sent messengers from Adam and Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, to Muhammad (pbat), for God has never left the world without guidance. According to the Quran the books that have been revealed are the Torah, Psalms, the Gospel and the Koran. The Gospel is the message of God sent through Jesus. This should not be confuses with the four gospels in the New Testament. The Gospel is not the life of Jesus but the message Jesus brought from God, the confirmation of Abraham's (pbah)monotheism and of Moses' (pbah) Torah. The Gospel refer to Jesus' prophet hood, his Islam (submission to God) and his stress that the spirit of the law should take precedence over its letter.
Jesus (pbah) was born of a virgin birth but that was just apart of his miracles. He was a man, prophet, messenger, but not the son of God.
Abraham (pbah) was not only married to Sarah but also Hagar. Hagar had a son Ishmael (pbah) who came almost 14 years before Sarah had her son Isaac. Muslims believe that the first born son Ishmael was the son to be sacrificed not his younger half brother.
Later Abraham, Hagar and Ishmael (pbat) would travel to Mecca where Abraham and Ishmael (pbat) would build the Kaaba.

see, nobody anywhere has any proof on anything that happened in the bible, the quran, the torah, or anything else from the time periods of jesus or earlier. just because a book says something doesnt make it true.
the bible was only written down several hundred years after jesus died, so theres no way that those stories (some of which date WAY earlier than jesus) stayed exactly the same as they started. and, the bible teaches us that man is flawed, so if you believe in the bible, dont you have to believe that man's ability to write the bible is going to have some flaws in it also? if you're spending all your time wondering if everything in the bible is word for word historically accurate (which a lot of it isnt, btw), you're completely missing the point. the overall message of all the ancient holy texts is a set of guidelines to teach us to live our lives from day to day in peace with each other.
faith is about being able to connect with something inside you and say "i believe that there must be more than what we understand in this life". if you're more concerned with who was the son of whom, or if jesus actually walked on water, or all that stuff, it might be wise to re-evalutate your prinicples.

A few biblical scholars hold that in the Synoptic Gospels, Jesus never styled himself the son of God in a sense other than that in which any righteous persons might call themselves "sons" or "children" of God.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Son_of_God
Muslims scholars aren't alone, this is the beliefe of some biblical scholars as well. I came across many christians that believe this too.
Also, the story of Prophet Abraham sacrificing his son is in the Quran (37:99-112). Just the son being sacrificed was Ismael son of Hajar not his son Isaac.
Now even the bible gives clues that it was Ismael not Isaac. The bible says:
Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, ‘Abraham!’ ‘Here I am,’ he replied. Then God said, ‘Take your son, your only son, Isaac, whom you love,...(Genesis 22:1-18)
Even though the bible mentions Isaac by name it aso refers to him as "Your only son"...Ismael was older than Isaac:
Abraham was eighty-six years old when Hagar bore him Ismael. (Genesis, 16:16)
Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born to him. (Genesis, 21:5)
It is evident from these verses that Ismael (sws) was fourteen years old at the birth of Isaac (sws), and must have been offered for sacrifice before Isaac (sws) was born because Abraham (sws) had been asked to sacrifice his only son; after Isaac’s birth of course the words ‘your only son’ would be totally inappropriate and against reality.
In the light of this evidence, it is obvious that the word Isaac mentioned was inserted in place of Ismael.
Christians debate many creed Islamic beliefs too, it's healthy to debate as long as we still respect each other as human beings. Don't forget that among Abrahamic faiths, Islam confirms that Jesus (pbuh) was sent from God to the Jews, while Jews reject this truth. Ofcourse we'll have differences, that's why you're Christian and I'm Muslim. It doen't mean we can't coexist peacefully and still have our differences.

first of all, Islam believes in Isaac as the son of Abraham and a prophet of God.
EVEN THE BIBLE DOES NOT AGREE THAT GOD BEGOT A SON. THIS IS WHAT EXAGERRATION IN BIBLE, EVEN NOT JUST MUSLIM SCHOLARS, EVEN THE CHRISTIAN SCHOLARS AGREES WITH THAT.
e.g.
John, Chapter 3 verse 16.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
THE WORD ‘BEGOTTEN’ IS AN INTERPOLATION
The word ‘begotten’ mentioned in the Gospel of John, Chapter 3 verse 16 has been thrown out from the Revised Standard Version of the Bible as an interpolation, as a fabrication. The Revised Standard Version has been revised by 32 Christian Scholars of the highest eminence, backed by 50 different co-operating denominations. These Scholars have removed this blasphemous word without any ceremony as an interpolation, concoction, fabrication, and adulteration.
New International Version says - For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son.
Living Bible Version says - For God loved the world so much that he gave his only son.
Good News bible says - For God loved the world so much that he gave his only son.
====================
Let's not get perplexed over this expression "Son of God". It does not mean God had sex with a woman, its nothing to do with biological progeny. "Son of God" is a metaphor. To be son of God is to be related to God is some way. This term "Son of God" is used in the New testament in numerous places. The terms Son and Sons are used not in their physical or literal senses but rather in the metaphorical or symbolic senses.
In the Bible, God has sons by the tons.
Adam is called as the son of God in Luke 3:38
Luke 3:38 "…Adam, which was the son of God."
Solomon is called as the son of God in 1 Chronicle 22:10
1 Chronicle 22:10 "He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever:
David was called son of God in 2 Samuel 7:14
2 Samuel 7:14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:
According to the Bible every righteous person who follows the Commandments of God is referred to as son of God. As we can see, the use of the term "son of God" when describing normal human beings was not at all an uncommon practice among Jesus' people. In Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek , Son of God means servant of God, or someone who is very special to God. Not a biological son of God. New testament does not mean "Son of God" OR "Sons of God", other than a metaphorical sense.
(QURAN 21:26) And they say: "((Allah)) Most Gracious has begotten offspring." Glory to Him! they are (but) servants raised to honour.
==============
Note that .
Jesus was never called as "God the son" in the entire bible.
HOPE THIS ANSWERS.
"Say: He is Allah, The One and Only. "Allah, the Eternal, Absolute.
"He begets not, nor is He begotten. And there is none like unto Him."
[Quran 112:1-4]

The quick and easy answer is that Muslims do not want to believe in Christianity, just as I do not want to believe in Islam. The difference is they will say whatever it takes to discredit them ;)

Any book may be interpreted and misrepresented by men to suit their own interests. That is why there are so many different factions of religious `believers'.
