If it snapped at the connector, you will have to purchase a new one. If just the wire broke, you can repair it. Speaker wires are two-stranded.

Turn off the system and disconnect the broken cable from the speaker. Using a pair of diagonal pliers or a wire stripper, peel back an inch or so of insulation from each wire on both sides of the break. Match the same color wires and twist them together. Using electrical tape, individually wrap each exposed connection thus created, so that no bare wire is exposed. Put another layer around both wires together to protect the repair.

Another way to repair this is to buy barrel connectors and a crimping tool at an audio supply or auto supply store, in a size appropriate to the wire. Strip the insulation as described above. Matching wire colors, slip the wires for each strand into the barrel, then crimp the barrel with the tool. Wrap the completed repair in electrical tape to protect it.

Depending on the make-up of the cable, you could solder it back together if it is a single wire.

If the cable isn't built into the speaker, you can purchase replacement wires. If it is, it might be time to get some new speakers.

Strip back the insulation on both cores on either end of the snapped wires, then twist together the respective pairs from each wire and wrap insulation tape round them to prevent them shorting out to each other. To be honest if it is cheap cable it would be just as easy to buy another set of cables.

Pull back the plastic sheathing a few centimetres using a knife (carefully) and tie the metal wires back together then use some electrical tape to wrap the wires back up individually so they don't touch each other.

You could try to re-attach the wires, but it would really be easier to go out to a store and purchase a new cable.

call and word if assure will fix it. If no longer you will would desire to opt to take it aside because of the incontrovertible fact that there is a metamorphosis that opens disabling the onboard audio gadget it rather is open with the broken headphone plug caught in there. i do no longer understand the way it rather is available to retrieve devoid of dissasembling it. truthfully I truthfully have a jack and in case you placed yet yet another headphone plug in it you will desire to push the previous one previous it yet which will go away the previous section loose indoors the pc and if it contacts some thing it would short out and injury the comuter.
