Call CPS on his phaget ***.He can hit you once in a while but not to where you get bruises all the time.Well all i know is tell a close relative and ask if you can move in after you tell them.I've had a freind that ended up in the hospital for not telling anyone but me and i couldnt help her because we were younger.Well just get away from him, and dont blaim it on yourself that he hits you, because most of the time he just wants to hit you for no reason.

There is a difference between 'hitting' and 'spanking'. If he is hitting you hard enough to leave bruises then there is a problem. Try talking to him about it first. Tell him you are scared and you don't want him to hit you anymore. When you do something wrong, talk to him about other punishments besides hitting. If this makes things worse, or he doesn't stop then you need to talk to someone.

I went through that. I felt the same way. I went to go live with another family member for a while. If your dad has a problem with that tell him its either that or you have no choice but to run to the cops. Tell him its for his own good as well.

Abuse is abuse either it's verbal or physical. It is absolutely not OK for a parent to hit a child, no matter what that child have done. Please tell someone AT SCHOOL, tell your teacher he/she will know what to do. Do not hide your bruises it will only get worse if you don't tell someone and get help. What do you mean you don't want to get your dad in trouble. Say he seriously hurts you or god forbid kills you in one of his outrages, who will be in trouble then?

Did you do something wrong in the 1st place? Or is he hitting you without cause? IF it is the 2nd situation, I recommend you tell another adult relative and ask for them to intercede with your father. If however there is a precipitating cause for your being hit, i.e. you disobey, etc., I suggest you stop doing whatever it is that's upsetting him.

my dad hit me when i deserved it. At the time i thought i was so right and he was the biggest jerk.
but looking back now, i was a little prick growing up. I am a better, more patient person because of it.
