OK, so she only really likes cocktails, and she has agreed to drink only after 5pm. Her faves are the Whiskey Furball and the Catnip sunrise. I wouldn't mind but she has brought a $500 cocktail dress on my credit card off the internet and then said she didn't. Do you think it is the drink that is making her lie about the dress?

I think you have a sneaky cat. Who taught her how to order clothing on-line? Is she on the computer when you are gone or at home? This behavior could certainly lead to compulsive shopping behavior. Hide your credit card!

It is definately the drink making her lie to you.

You're funny. I hope you're kidding, but you have a good sense of humor. I would imagine that my kitties would prefer a Tuna-tini or a Mackeral-rita. My Siamese, though, will probably only do shots of straight-up tuna water. LOL!

Seriously, alcohol is metabolized through the liver and feeding your cat the same dose of alcohol that a human would drink is toxic and can lead to alcohol poisoning. Let her keep the cocktail dress, but I think it's time for you and her to attend some CA meetings - Cataholics Anonymous!

You can't be serious; can you? People thinks it's funny to get their pets drunk, but by doing so, they may be abusing them. For example, a two year old child does not have the intellectual capacity to say "yes" or "no" to alcohol; they don't know what alcohol is and cannot give informed consent. This is one reason it is a crime to give alcohol to a minor. This seems obvious, right? Well guess what: your pet does not have the intellectual capacity to give informed consent either. If it tastes good to them, they'll eat and drink whatever you give them. So, when you feed your pet alcohol, YOU know it's dangers and consequences, but your loving, trusting pet does not.

Um, she bought a dress? Anyway, don't let it drink alchohol at ALL!! It's not even good for us (sometimes and some wines are good for you)! Cats aren't even supposed to eat (in this case, drink) any human foods--just some though but not even alcohol!

Anyway, if you aren't sure, don't do it!

No. It may kill him. Their tolerance is way lower than a person so just alittle drop might make them blind or severely screw them up or death. If it's a neighbor's cat and you don't like them, try shaving them and then spraypainting swastikas all over it.

I don't think your cat will drink alcohol, unless you forced your cat.
You should let your cat or any other pet drink alcohol, unless your in kobe japan where they let cows drink beer.

NO ARE YOU CRAZY!!! If you want to kill your cat then be my guest! It'd be your fault if you woke up the next morning with your cat laying on your bed dead, stiff as a board.

Would you feed it to your toddler? It comes down to the same thing. Stop feeding your pet a noxious substance, please. IF you like seeing her get "high," buy some catnip. They go nuts for it!
