A small miracle can be defined as a significant emotional event (any self help book on the market usually references a S.E.E), taking action on something Oprah suggests, or refusing to listen to Sex and the City validating fear for women in the form of countless meaningless sexual encoutners (samantha), intellectualizng and rationalizing (miranda), honoring traditional family values despite conflciting with modern societal norms of instant gratifcation at any expense(charlotte), and living in denial as a indecisvie placator (carrie). And the most significant part of a small miracle in context to my question is a female finally rising up and CHOOSING to not let all of her life's influneces close her off to any potential she has.

The same question can be asked of men as well. It depends on what type of self validation they received or lack there of growing up and what type of emotional damages need repairing. It's not that easy for some to trust others after a life time of abuse. I suggest if you find yourself with someone who is on the cusp of learning to trust that you do not impose your simplistic views on her and damage her even more. You must have patience, stay by her side and help her through it or allow her the space to overcome it without you.

Wow! I'm impressed that a guy even watches Sex and the City, much less analyzes the characters! Do you feel that only women let their life experiences shape their potential? Men do that as well, although women seem to fall victim to it more often. It may be due to a combination of upbringing, societal expectations, and media brainwashing. However, I think that as women get older, they slowly realize that they have unlimited potential (especially once they have finished child-rearing, in many cases leave long-standing relationships, and finally have time to focus on themselves). The S.E.E. is the catalyst that pushes them into action.

I fear no one on this earth! I'm 5'4",weigh 100 pounds.Am 44 years old.I was a bartender for 20 years! remember that a lot of women were taught as girls that it is "cute" to "need the protection of a man",thankfully my mom taught me that I could not only do anything a man could for me,but that I should! My 22 year old daughter has defended herself and others many times. Both physically and verbally.I raised her like I was raised.

We're all drama queens one time or another. So, we just use it as more drama.
