Report this to the police. Nigeria is a huge source of scams, from puppy sales to supposed inheritences to financial claims. You should never respond to an email from Nigeria unless you know people there and recognize the address. I'm sorry you got scammed but your chances of getting your money back are smaller than, well, a yorkie pup. There probably were never any dogs to begin with.

No, but my Brother in Law had a vice versa of this. He was selling pups and a woman from I don't know where sent him a bad check and then said there was a problem with her family and needed him to send her money back. She was hoping that the check wouldn't have cleared before he sent her money. Good thing he waited or he would have been out a TON of money.
From now on, I would only buy a pet from somewhere you can pick it up and pay in person. There are to many scammers out there!

u name it, nigeria comes up w/ a scam of some sort. stay away from that type of thing. go to ur local animal shelter. there r soooo many dogs of all types looking for homes. i suggest an older dog which r harder to place. they r house broken, sometimes have had obedience training, won't chew on ur furniture. ;-)

Oh my goodness...that is awful that you fell for that.
Next time for your information, you need to see the dog before you buy it. You need to know how the doc will react to you, and you to it. It is like buying a used car and not test driving it first.
Any good seller will offer to meet with you and the animal and spend some time with it. That way, if the chemistry isn't there for you and dog, you don't have to go through the trouble.
And shame on you for giving that woman money on the net....I can't believe that.

Why do you wanna have a dog from Nigeria????? We have enough pets we should take care of, and we can't manage it and take them to the pets asylum.
