they have so many benefits. All they do instead is moan and complain, they need to stop the B*tching and work in life, instead of taking the easy route out, on welfare, or as they call it "gang banging".

You absolutly right us black people need to stop conplaining and need to take charge. Were the only ethcic group that has yet to rise up. And were the ethnis group with the least power(owning stores and politics) We need to stop trying to be rappers and basketball plays and we need to start thinking.

Well as a 21 year old African American woman who is on the way to graduating with a bachelors degree, i find this question very appalling. Obviously it was asked by someone of Caucasian descent with very little intelligence. So, to answer your question we, African Americans, are not babies and often times don't complain about the discrimination we receive in the work place. Most of the time that just gives us more motivation to do the things we set out to do even when obstacles are placed in our way. Lets not also forget that there are a large number of whites on welfare who are doing just as bad if not worse than us. Most blacks have no choice but to work our way through life and statistically the jobs we do are far more physically intensive and often have an older retirement age than most whites. As for the benefits you claim we have many of us like myself were not born with 10,000 already in a savings account for us, most of us have to pay our own way for our education and we do. We may complain here and there but so does everyone and we still get the job done without having to run to mommy or daddy for help. If u being white and me being black both went for the same position and both had the exact credentials the company would only hire me if there racial quota was not met. In the event that they already had a few "ethnics" then 9 times out of 10 you would be hired before me. So, next time you want to ask a question you should take a survey of every African American in the US to see how they feel before you try to generalize us as all the same. If i did that i could say u remind me of Hitler or even worse George Bush but then again your probably a Republican anyway so that wouldn't bother you!

Is this a question or are you using the forum to complain about people you don't understand?

Actually blacks do not have more of a chance of getting a job than white people for a lot of reasons. The main reason is that the playing field is not level by any stretch of the imagination.

There are huge, unbelievable disadvantages that come with poverty or from living in a ghetto, or from going to a poor school system. Kids who are poor or who have a bad school system start out behind and keep falling further and further behind in life, until there is no hope of catching up.

I think that you are the one b-it-ching about people you don't understand and that you don't have a lot of compassion and empathy for. How many black friends do you have, or for that matter, any friends outside your own race? It might be a very good thing to cultivate people who are different from you, and talk to them with an open heart and an open mind.

Please note that there are white, Hispanic and Asian gangs too, and people from all walks of life, all races, all ethnicities, all ages, all nationalities, who abuse the system, or who are in gangs. There are jerks around the world, both male and female.

Let me guess, you either don't have a job and are blaming us for lack of employment or education,(yes I am Black) or your sitting in your parents house spending their hard earned money bragging with your friends about the cool stuff you have. Either way your a gump. How about getting up and supporting your community and make a difference in someones life. Maybe that person that's moaning and complaining needs help, lend a hand instead of attitude! Oh yeah, I wanted to know. How many times did you push spell check before you posted your Question? I mean with you not being so bright and all, you probably needed the computer to spell things out for ya!

Why do whiny white people complain about the African Americans so much? Maybe, just maybe you should quit your b*tching about the color of the skin and look deeper into this. Did you know that there are white people on welfare? There are white gang bangers in the form of the KKK where they are too coward to show their faces and hide behind sheets.. There are MORE white serial killers and rapist than any other race did you know that? So before you b*tch about someones color look at your own you are not so Lily White after all. I am white and I am proud of who I am, However I am not proud of people like you.

They complain because that is what they know. This isn't a race issue. This is the sad fact of inner cities. Their schools are over crowded. The students go to school scared. The teachers cannot change anything. The police won't or don't help.

And the gov't only helps by handing out money because that is easier than fixing the problem. The gov't forces companies to hire these mistreated people. Who because of their life experience are just bad people to have around.

This isn't a race issue this is a society issue. But I guess that isn't what you wanted to hear.

I find your question very interesting. I am sure you expected the variety of answers you got from everyone. I found myself wondering if you were African American yourself and just playing "Devil's Advocate". If your question reflects your way of thinking, then I believe that you need an experience not an answer. An experience that changes the way you view people in this life. Maybe some travel to another country. But in the meantime go rent the movie "Crash"

You sound like the baby here. You were probably turned down for a job or something like that, that an African American got and now you are throwing a hissy fit.

Go down south and see how many African Americans have it easier then whites.

Ok first of all. NOT ALL but a majority of african americans do complain a lot. Or at least people think they do because of stupid people like Jessie Jackson. But I seriously don't think that anyone no matter what race has more of a chance of getting a job.

Well,
as an African American my self, I have to say that you can't speak for all of us. Your not in that individuals shoes. and besides Welfare was made to help those who can't help themselves. And they are not all dark in complexion. the are white, Latinos, etc. and I don't have a problem with it. As long as I am working I will continue to contribute a percentage of my earning to better someones life. You need to grow the hell up and stop with all that racist bullshit!
