Have fun in Middle School. As for your hair, I totally understand. Mine is the same way. So here's what has worked for me.
1. Invest in an antifrizz serum (availible at some drug stores, discount stores like walmart, supermarkets, but your best supply is Sally's Beauty Supply). Also, obtain some gel (I love LA Look's friz control for curly hair) and a wide tooth comb. Then, while your hair is still wet after you've washed it, (don't forget conditioner) comb the gel through your hair. If you want a slightly curlier look, then scrunch it and you'll get amazing looking curls. if not, just comb it through, blow dry and then add anti frizz serum to control the frizz on your waves. If you're running short on time, you can skip the blow dry and just go straight to the anti frizz serum.
Tip: Watch how you are towel drying your hair, as if done improperly it can make frizzy hair worse. To do it correctly, ring your hair out in the shower, then pat dry with a towel.
2. If you want an easy updo, which works great for days where you have a test and just want your hair out of your face, then purchase a large clip. Then, put anti frizz serum in your hair and pull it back like you would for a pony tail. Then flip if up against your head and clip it.
3. For just plain fun, you can go to your local walmart and buy some fake flowers and some plain metal clips. Then just use some hot glue and attach the flowers to the clips. You can just wear your hair down, (again, I stress anit frizz serum) with a clip to pull it away from your face (which will help your face look longer) and volia! cute hair in a matter on minutes.
Good luck, and , next time don't post your age on the internet, it's not safe.

wEEL, a good way to start is to go to a stylist and get a layer cut appropriate for your hair type. At home be sure to use anti-friz serums, the better quality of the brand the better the result. Frizz ease works well. Also, with curls or wavy hair, don't ever brush it! Comb it in the shower and then finger comb it when you get out of the shower to detangle and sylt it. Yo'll have less frizz and more curl. Conditioner is key. If you want straight hair you need to invest in a good flat iron and a product to protect it form the heat. Most importantly, it's all in the cut, the condition, and the products. Good hair takes time, work, and money. Mainly time and work. One can budget and get just the right products and tools and be set for a while. Good luck!

my daughter has this same issue and I just want to warn you about the strait iron. we took my daughter to the beauty shop every other week for about 2 months to get her hair strait ironed. It dried it out so bad that her ends were frizzy to the point that even if she put moisturizer in her hair it would suck it up and be dry again. So here is some non-chemical or heat ideas. First start with a leave in conditioner that you can put in your hair nightly, braid it up, or put on a plastic cap, and then in the morning it will be easier to work with. When my daughter does that she can brush it strait and it will stay for the day. Also, a part says a lot, part it on different sides, zigzaged, or diagonally. braids are good, and an updoo with a clip is good, you have a lot of options, even though it don't seem like it.

Hey, I'm 13 and going into 8th grade, last year I had the exact same problem. My hair is extremely thick, puffy, curly, frizzy, much like african american hair. Pink is hair treatment for thick hair, it works EXTREMELY well...I put it on before I go to bed and in the morning my hair isn't frizzy at all and is very smooth and silky. It only costs about 3 dollars and can be purchased at a drug store or a store like target or walmart. Don't use a lot of gels or hairsprays, they stop working during the day and your'e left with very poofy hair in the middle of school, also they leave white flakes in your hair and make it look like you have dandruff. Straighteners work too, but not cheap ones, especially not conair. Conair just tends to make your hair more puffy. Also don't get a backwards perm (to make your hair straight) it just makes it really frizzy and dried. Dove and Physique shampoo and conditioner work best, don't use suave or cheap stuff like that. Also try to get some layers in your hair, make sure you DON'T get a lot because that will just make it worse! also for a quick fix, braids always work...but not just one, try 2 french braids or cornrolls!

When I was a teen, and in the 7th grade, and I also has puffy and frizzy hair (it was like a rats nest on my head--ugh!). What really turned it around was that I cut it to about chin length. Suddenly, it didn't have enough length to tangle (or something!) and it got curly and cute looking, like Carrie on Sex and the City when she had chin length hair for half a season. I would recommend cutting it. Then you won't wear a ponytail every day because you won't have the option, and you can style it easily by parting it and spritzing it with a little frizz-control spray made for curly hair. If you want to get fancy, you can still put it back by twisting sections and pinning them to your head.

I think cutting my hair short was the best hair decision I've ever made, so I encourage you to go for it!

Ok since I was little I used to have long hair u kno the past ur behind long hair.and i could never do anything with it in the sixth grade I used to wear it down practically the whole year. Then when I went to the 7th grade I wanted to do something different with my hairand appearance ( I wore glasses). So when they let out for Christmas break I cut my hair to just above my shoulders and got contacts. When I got back to school nobody recognized me.I was even asked if I was new by one of my friends. So if ur planning to cut ur hair dont cut it like i did becuz when u put it up in a ponytail and then take it down it makes this huge bump and u look like an upside down bowl.So really u want it maybe just past ur shoulders and maybe in layers. U should also get a straighener or flat iron. It's not a good idea to straighten it everyday becuz u'll burn out all of ur hair. For frizz my mom has this serum called Zero Frizz.I dont kno exactly where she got it but it had to be either Walmart, Sam's ,or Sally's Beauty Supply. When u take a shower, after u shampoo, put the conditioner in and comb it through. This will make it easier to comb after u get out of the shower. When u dry ur hair dont like put the towel on and go crazy. what I do is I flip my hair down put the towel on my neck and twist it on ur hair its kinda like a turban, but it dries it easier. U should comb ur hair but its ur choice if u want to brush it. Sorry this was so long.I hope it helps u. I'm goin to the 8th grade so I just went through this.

I used to have the same hair problem.
First, although it seems scary, you might want to reconsider the way your hair is cut. Leaving it too long, like I did, made my hair look puffy...which was not good.

I had it cut to shoulder length, with many layers put in. These layers encourage the curl, so it will look more polished.

Also, you may want to buy some products that gloss and define your wavy hair. I suggest KMS Curl Gloss. It's worked the best for me, and I've tried nearly everything! LoL!

I hope this was helpful!

Hair is a symbol of our overall health and vitality. The body will use a variety of nutrients to maintain healthy skin and hair. The way our hair looks is so important to us that the saying "getting out of the wrong side of the bed," has been replaced by "having a bad hair day." And, no one needs to ask us what we mean by that, because everyone has experienced a bad hair day. However, our hair does more than frame our face. It conserves body heat, protects our scalp, and serves as a sensory device.
Each hair follicle is surrounded by sensory nerves that react whenever a hair shaft is touched. We have about 100,000 hair follicles on our scalp. Each has a hair root at its center, is nourished by the papilla (connective tissue containing capillaries and nerve fibers), and is associated with one or several sebaceous glands. These tiny glands secrete an oily substance called sebum which softens and protects the hair and scalp. Tiny muscles attached to the follicles tense, causing us to get goose bumps. The hair above the skin is called the shaft. Each hair shaft has a touch outside layer, the cuticle. This protects the inner sections of the hair, and has a lot to do with its looks and manageability. Many people think that hair care starts with shampooing. Not So! It starts with what you eat. In general, a healthy diet of fresh foods, whole grains, sufficient protein, and lots of water is needed. Hair contains all the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients the body needs for health, and is about 97 percent protein. Because of this, an inadequate diet will not only affect the way you feel, but also the condition of your hair as well. In fact, prematurely graying hair can be caused by a lack of the amino acid phenylalanine which translates enzymatically into melanin, the hair color pigment. There are no hair products that can be applied on the outside of the hair that will compensate for inadequate nutrition. Unlike skin, hair cannot repair itself - but you can get new, healthier hair to grow from the "inside out" We want our hair to look and feel its best at all times. So we use lotions, creams, sprays, and harsh chemicals (such as perms and dyes), just so our hair will look fuller, thicker, lustrous, shiny, with extra bounce and body. But we forget that all of these important features have to come from the "inside out." Healthy hair depends on a constant supply of blood, oxygen and nutrients to grow and maintain a healthy look and feel. Without any one of these important ingredients our hair will be negatively affected.

You have hair like i do. Ok, after you take a shower, brush your hair out. Then devide your hair into two sections. One on the left and one on the right. Put some anti-frizz, or cream on both sections. Then from the top of the section, twist your hair back, all the way to the ends. Do the same thing on the other side, and then take both twists and clip them to the top of your head. I am not kidding you, in the morining when you wake up and take the clip of and let your hair loose, you will love it. It looks like you went to get your hair done.
