There are many opportunities with a Criminal Justice Degree. You could be a Probation Officer, Police Officer, Parole Officer, and obtain employment with other Law Enforcement agencies. The experience you can obtain with a Criminal Justice Degree can also open the door of opportunity in other areas. Good Luck!

Tons of State Federal and Private industry jobs are available to people with or without a BA in Criminal Justice. My suggestion is NOT to get a double degree in CJ due to the fact that ALOT of agencies do not stand behind their employees any more. Remember Mark Furman? Granted that was an extreme case but for a law enforcement officer you are always in the public eye and more importantly their cameras lens. Have a fall back degree because you may get burned out with dealing with the underside of society and need a quick out.

My son is going to college right now to get his BA in Criminal Justice and there is a big list of careers to choose from. Anywhere from being a police officer to working at Homeland Security. Right now he is thinking either a Secret Service Agent or working in criminal investigation (CSI) (and no, he doesn't watch the show!!).
If you are serious in going into this field, check with a college in your area and talk to the career counselor, they'll be tremendous help for you.

Try working as an Insurance Adjuster. I did that for 8 years before going into teaching. I really liked the job, but the internal politics finally did me in. Good Luck
