Do not see how. I hear a lot of people here in the Armed Forces Retirement Home, Washington, D.C. tell their age.
Many are in their 90s and 100s, so I cannot see how that is shortening it, and if it is :
shortening it from what?
FYI: I am 67.

No. We are shortning our life span by eating junk food and drinking too many sodas. I know, I just had a quadruple bypass and the blocked arteries were all because of being in the habit of eating and drinking too much junk. We also need to turn off the idiot box (TV) and get more exercise.

If telling someone your age makes you feel old, then you are shortening your life by about one tenth of a second for every hundred times you tell someone your age.

Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional. Everyone has a physical and a mental age. It all just depends on which one you choose to abide by. If anyone puts that much stock on their age as to think that they're old, they need to get out and enjoy life a little more.

Wow, deep question. You mean like if you "own" your age, it will self fulfill? Interesting concept.
