If you are serious about ending the relationship, contact a hot line for help in what to do next. They should have a list of all available resources. Don't think you can handle this alone -- find yourself some trained support.

Some inventive ways to get stalkers to leave you alone:

1.Kill him(if you don't mind doing time)
2.Get someone else to kill him(better get a good lawyer.)
3.Be "smelly" whenever he's around
4.Tell him you're gay.
5.Get someone to beat him up(a less drastic approach than #2)
6.Restraining order; as someone else mentioned(but this rarely works)
7.Date a cop(#6 will be more effective if you do this)
9.Put a fake picture of him up on the Internet showing him molesting/raping a child.(A computer whiz will be able to help you with this one) *Note: undercover cops are always on the NET looking for such pervs.
10.Put up flyers of him in your neighborhood that read: Warning: Stalker On The Loose

Well, that's about it. I'm sure there are more ways---ways you can probably think up, but that's all I have for now.

File a Protection Order/Restraining Order. Make friends, family and neighbors aware that you are having a problem with him. Make sure you make it clear to him - and I mean crystal clear - that you are no longer interested and to leave you alone. Then don't answer the phone or door if you know it's him. Get caller id if you don't already have it. Most courthouses have victim advocates that can help and give you more information. Just look online (or call) for your local courthouse.

Your stalker is not going to just go away if you ask him nicely. File a report with the police and have them tell your ex to stay away. You need to worry about your safety first.

Don't even mess about - I second the Restraining Order suggestion. Deal with this quickly and clearly. Don't do anything to encourage his behaviour, and make it very clear that his attentions are unwelcome. If you haven't already spoken to him (in a safe, public place), you need to - tell him how this makes you feel and that it's uncool. Also tell him you will resort to legal action if he can't get the message on his own.

Do not tolerate this. It will only continue if you put up with it. Next time you feel threatened, call the police.
