Try it... can you rotate your right leg in a clockwise and make the number six in the air with your right hand... why can't we do this ?

I had never tried it or thought about it before now! If my boss catches me, she's going to think I'm nuts. Maybe I'll get her to try doing it too! But, after some very serious determination, I was able to do it- slowly and not for very long though. I think that the difficulty comes from one side of our brain controlling 2 different motions on the same side of our bodies. I know that some people, like drummers for instance have to overcome that in order to do different beats at the same time(base pedal with feet, stick with hands). It is very frustrating to try to do! Thanks for making me think about it.

Because the same side of the brain is directing the action. You can go one direction with your right side and one direction with your left side, but not eay to do two different directions on the same side. Its just the way your brain works.
I did it after I really concentrated. A six is easy, tell people to do a continuous rotation in opposite directions with their right foot and right hand. That's harder.

I have no problem. IT just takes some co-ordination. Try starting with the leg first. Then add the right hand.

i could -- it took concentration and about 4 tries, but i could....probably b/c the right side is controled by left side of brain and vice versa....
i had to get my hand going and then do my foot. LOL
