I want to take acting lessons at night but they are very expensive, is there a cheaper way. I work in Chicago.

Ask your public librarian about community education or adult education opportunities.

NOTHING IS FREE. You can volunteer at a theatre (they all have a volunteer corp), hang out ,become Friends with other actors and directors and look at each others monologues and junk.Try not to suck.

summer stock, community centers always hold plays like the JCC.
