The reason I believe anyone looks at the negative of anything is to make themselves feel better. Its an insecurity in themselves. If a person is secure in what they believe they don't have to run down, degrade, or ridicule others. If you find you have negative aspects of your religion then I suggest you aren't following what is truly right for you. Even if you are speaking of "religion" as the rites and rituals followed in that belief system, if they seem negative to you then you are in the wrong place. Its like staying in a bad marriage for the "good" of the children, a total misconception.

Beats me why everyone can't just get along, in the words of the now infamous Rodney King. I am associated with Jehovah's Witnesses, and I realize that not everyone believes what I believe. They certainly don't HAVE to! But what I would appreciate is them leaving out the name-calling and slurs and hatred that is generated just because someone believes a different thing spiritually.

Why do religions point out what they consider to be negative in "non-believers"
For some reason you seem not to fault the ones who openly condemn huge segments of the population to one type of eternal suffering or another.
Maybe if religions would stop everyone else would. Religion, however, is, by nature, the root of almost all intolerance.

Because religion is the cause of war, prejudice, hate and hypocrisy. Fix that and you fix people talking negatively about religion.

Why is it always those who deny Christ that seek tolerance for others beliefs? Yes, you have the right to be wrong, no, you don't have the right to make me say that it is good for you to be wrong.
