Actually I think it is more that we are responsible to how we react to what the universe has to throw at us. We can't affect "the entire universe" in such a great degree as to really make a difference bc it is so mind bogglingly big, but we can definitely choose how we treat our little corner of it and how we live the life we have - in peace, in war, in hatred, or in happiness and good works. My faith does believe in predestination, so I think God does have a plan for me in my life. At the same time, I do have free will to make decisions on how I will live my life - (predestination is the idea that God already knows what I will choose - he just isn't directing my choice. Being omniscient gives him that ability.) So no - I don't think we are really responsible for how the universe will unfold. It would unfold even if you or I weren't here to see it and will continue to do so after we are gone. All we can do is adapt ourselves to what is around us and make an impact during the time we have. It may not be important to the universe, but it is important to the people who love us and to God the Creator. :)

Do you know whats universe?

"I have wiped out many nations, devastating their fortress walls and towers. Their cities are now deserted; their streets are in silent ruin. There are no survivors to even tell what happened. I thought, 'Surely they will have reverence for me now! Surely they will listen to my warnings, so I won't need to strike again.' But no; however much I punish them, they continue their evil practices from dawn till dusk and dusk till dawn." So now the LORD says: "Be patient; the time is coming soon when I will stand up and accuse these evil nations. For it is my decision to gather together the kingdoms of the earth and pour out my fiercest anger and fury on them. All the earth will be devoured by the fire of my jealousy. "On that day I will purify the lips of all people, so that everyone will be able to worship the LORD together. My scattered people who live beyond the rivers of Ethiopia will come to present their offerings. (Zephaniah 3:6-10 NLT)

I believe that every one of us affects the univese, from how long we spend in the shower using water, to the amount of times we inhale fresh air deeply, only to put out harmful gasses.
