There is and are no "best" responses. When we stand before God in judgement...maybe you can ask HIM ...yourself. Please invite me to witness that moment....

I can't understand why it skipped 27 years of Jesus' life or how a person can miraculously be conceived without 2 people first mating. Also, how 2 married people never had sex... why was she still a virgin? I just want the bible to make sense... like how did Noah get all those animals on the Arc? Why were certain animals excluded (unicorns, dragons...). I'm not saying there is no God or there was no Jesus or that Jesus wasn't the only Son. I'm just saying- make some sense. That's why I follow Druidism... it makes sense to me.

I would say none of the above. My answer is- why would I believe in the bible? I see absolutely no reason, or logic in believing it. I don't care if it has contradictions, I don't care if it's old, I don't care if it's probable/improbable, or if science doesn't agree. Improbable has been true, and science has been wrong. I simply have absolutely no reason to think that it's at all true. None.
Some people have told me that it is true, but I have no reason to believe them. Some people that I care about and trust have told me it's true, but I have no reason to think that they would know. It's not personal. It's not like I think that they're wrong or foolish. It's just that it makes no sense to me that I would believe them. I mean, why?
So, that's my aswer. Why WOULD I believe in the bible? You tell me. But I doubt I will believe you.

I'd say H. Because if 'god' gave man 'free will', does that not mean man has the ability to lie or to be prejudiced in his views of what 'god' wants?(just look at all the different xtian points of view on here, for example!) How many 'xtians' are in positions of power and are really whiter than white? Do you REALLY think EVERY xtian in the days of writing the bible was 100% truthful? And don't say 'god would have guided them', because would that not defeat the purpose of free will?

The Bible is a book. I've read some of it. I know it exists. Why don't you ask a more pertinent question like, "What is the best response for 'Why do you think the Bible is a book of fictional childrens stories, mixed in with scare tactic gloom and doom prophecies'?"

I look at it this way it is your right and choice to believe or not to believe, and as for someone shoving their views down your throat makes me angry. I do think it states that God is the only judge, so if you go around judging people because they don't believe the way you think they should isn't that being a hypocrite? Anyway you go on with yourself and tell whomever is bugging you to give a pat answer to go piss up a rope. Smile

It's definitely a toss up between "b" and "f" for me. Though I love the problems it has with most branches of science, I choose "b" because of its simplicity. Thomas Paine (one of our great Founding Fathers) used "b" exclusively in "The Age of Reason".
I am not too concerned about "c" since God may choose to be a multiple-personalitied passive-aggressive whether we like it or not.

The Bible of today has undergone serious manipulations of its original text that there are inconsistencies therein. So the best response is the Bible is not a true copy of its original.

f. it disagrees with scientific evidence, like, all of it
Besides all that - there is no absolute, 100% proof to either prove or disprove it - it is all a matter of personal belief, which of course is not a part of the scientific method, etc..,
