Let me guess... Indonesian?!? ("cinta" in Indonesia means "love" in English) Thanks to my beloved boyfriend, he taught me a lot about Indonesia, land of disastrous-Tsunami Aceh and exotic Bali...

At least, you still have your father... and besides, you're not working yourself, you're just playing on Yahoo Answers (hence, wasting your time!), and still you're bad-mouthing your father in his back (inspite of his laziness)?!?

You have such a serious problem there, CINTA!

A person who is dedicated to their child. Someone who is prepared emotionally, physically, mentally etc to put aside himself and care for another living person and try to offer that person the best before themselves. My father is a good man and father but even he would say he isn't ideal and makes mistakes. I am not having children until I am able to provide my whole self to that child instead of the mess I am now. I am learning about kids, looking for the person that I want to raise a child with long term and learning about myself. When I am older I will consider this until then I say I am being the ideal father by not having a kid.

Talk to him and tell him how his behavior is affecting the family. By getting rid of him I hope that's what you mean and not "getting rid of him". I think you should just love him for who he is, asshole or not. Let it be up to your mother to get rid of him. The only way you can get rid of him is kill him, yourself, or move out. I've been there and boy was I glad when my mom PUT HIS BROKE *** OUT.
Good Luck

Hmmmm, free loading dad, well you can always get a job yourself and make sure that everyone in the house knows that you are searching for a job in order to help your mother since no one else wants to. Remind everyone how your mother is paying for everything herself and help her with some of the bills, that way you may encourage your dad to do the same. If that doesn't work you can always cut the television plug, lol...joking.

Well, you don't say exactly how old you ARE. But, if your mother has put up with his nonsense for this long, I find it highly unlikely that confronting her about it will change anything. Your best hope is to get moved out as soon as you are able, if he bothers you that much. Good luck to you!

If you dislike his actions so much, talk to your mother and see what she thinks. If she has no problem with it, you may want to ask your father. I know how you feel.. as for the Bible rule "honor thy mother and father", there are exceptions to every rule.

Aslo, explain to him why you don't like what he does and that it is setting a bad example. Good luck!

You probably won't have to worry. A man that is a couch potato ususally end up with heart problems. You need to talk to your MOM. If she wants him out that is a different story.

You can't choose your family.......but you should respect your parents even if you don't approve of them. If you are old enough to get your own place....I strongly suggest you do that. Then you can take over the roll your mother is in now and then more than likely, you will find a man that is much like your father........WHAT WE LEARN....WE BECOME ......WHAT WE BECOME IS WHAT WE TEACH!

What do you mean "get rid of him?"
Like father like son right? Why don't you go out and start making some bread so you can take care of momma?
