No. When you brush your teeth, also try brushing your tongue (I do). Just be careful and don't swallow the toothbrush. Better yet, there are many types of "tongue cleaners" on the market just for this purpose. If tongue continues to stay white, it might be a fungal infection or yeast infection of the mouth. A white tongue is not normal. Check with doctor or dentist concerning this.

Brush your tongue, It makes you gag so, Stick it out as far as you can and gently bite down on the tongue. The teeth block the gag reflex. Brush the tongue as best you can in front of your teeth. Then open and brush farther back in quick adventurous strokes. Do this every day until you start to see a pink healthy tongue. Interestingly enough your breath will get better too.

Good luck

Um plaque is white. If its really persistant though after you brush your tongue you may wanna hit the doctor, especially if you see the back of your throat is white too. You can actually get forms of yeast infections in your mouth and on your tongue. Some people get it from certain food reactions.

No, you're tongue should naturally be pink..you can invest in a tongue scraper available at any drug store and that will help clean your tongue and take that bacterial coating off, if that does not help, you may have something else going on internally, it may be good to discuss this with your doctor and see what is causing it.

the tongue is the #1 source of bad breath if you needed another reason to keep that tongue clean.

No. It appears white when *stuff* gets stuck on it's surface.
You should brush them off with a soft (such as an old) toothbrush when you brush your teeth.
