With a name change due to marriage, you can change both your last name and middle name, but not your first name. It wouldn't be any problem to use your maiden name as your middle name--that is pretty common. You usually just drop your middle name (at least legally) when you do that.

Usually when you apply for your marriage license, the people at the office will give you a package of materials that include the name change form from the social security admin. It's pretty simple, you just write in your current name, what you want it to be and submit a copy of your wedding certificate. Personally, I kept my first, middle & maiden name and added my husband's on to the end. That said, in everyday activities, I just go by my first name and my married last name.

I think it's fine to make your maiden name your middle name. I'm getting married in October and I am going to do that. I currently hate my middle name so I can't wait!!

You can't change your first naem when you get married. You can however use your last name as your middle name or hyphenate your last name. Just make sure it is listed as such on your marriage license or the social security administration won't change it.

"Whats in a name".
Shakespeare.
He was too fool to post his name right beside his own quote. Only name matters sometimes. So better go with the first plan. Happy Wedding
