thats a tough question, here are the facts that i know, u can interpret it as u wish
1) a drop in 5 degrees from normal average WORLDWIDE temperature results in an ice age.
2) currently, we have risen about 2.5 degrees from normal average worldwide temperature.
3) if it continues to rise, then the ice caps will melt. if the ice caps melt, then it throws some vital ocean currents off. these currents are responsible for all of the weather patterns that we have. if the currents get disrupted, ice age is a probable result.
so either way, we are gonna be gettin very very cold here on earth. thank god i live in sunny southern california.

Very very Far....
because how many people really do care other than their selfish needs. Maybe u can make an impact about the dangers in the 1st World countries.
What about the 3rd World countries, they have other things to worry than the Global Warming. If u can come up with some ideas about making them aware and also doing something about it, then there might be hope, if not we are on the part of the curve which says "DOOM around the next corner".

We are very far from beating global warming. I don't think that we have even taken the starting steps to beating it. The US emitted more CO2 than it ever has in 2005. Until major producers of greenhouse gases (ie- the US) and developing nations (ie- India and China) take steps to decrease their emissions, we have not even begun to reduce global warming

We are no where near beating global warming, in fact we are headed in the wrong direction. We are dumping more and more CO2 gas every year. I would say we are flunking in our efforts, mainly because we like all the things we have.
