AND don't try and pass off the following discredited arguments, like:
1) its unnatural (anyone who has a dog knows that dogs do the homo thing too)
2) god says no (fine, but god says no to lots of other things that are legal and accepted in society, like divorce, coveting, and eating cheeseburgers)
3) its unhealthy (same as above. tobacco kills far more people than AIDS or other STDs but remains quite legal)

FYI, i am not talking about moral judgements about homosexuality, some of you may believe it is wrong and that is your opinion to which you are entitled.
but why as a society, are gay people's relationships are discriminated against? there are religious arguments plenty, but the last I checked, there was a freedom of religion, and religious beliefs ought not be imposed on those who don't share them...

Most countries in Europe do not discriminate against gay marriage allowing either "marriage" or "civil partnerships" which give exactly the same rights before the state these include the Netherlands, Germany, UK, France, Spain and demark. there are proably more. I also believe Canada is grown up about this aswell.
I am afraid it's an American Fundy thing (although i still believe they eat shrimp).

By number 2, I assume that you believe what is acceptable in society or legal is automatically right. In Genesis, it says:
"Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib and brought her to Adam. "At last!" Adam exclaimed. "She is part of my own flesh and bone! She will be called `woman,' because she was taken out of a man." This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.
It also goes on later to talk about homosexuality as wickedness in Sodom and Gomorra.
And just because tobacco kills more people than AIDS doesn't make homosexuality a healthy thing.

Exactly!!! I am so tired of hearing how Homosexuals getting married is ruining the "American Family". This is one of he dumbest things that has come out in a long time. I guess they forget that homosexuals come from the "American Family". They didn't grow up outta the friggin ground. And how do they see that 2 men or 2 women getting married is hurting anyone else's marriage, yet Divorce isn't doing anything to the American Family. I really wish people would quit allowing these Christian Right ********* to put this crap into politics.
If you don't like the Homosexual Lifestyle, then I suggest NOT becoming a homosexual.
And I don't see how gay marriage would do anything to my own marriage. There is absolutely no way that 2 homosexuals getting married could do ANYTHING to my own marriage. I am really surprised that people are this gullible to think that anyone else getting married does anything to their own marriage.
These are the people that are making it hard for the rest of us to convince the rest of the world that we aren't stupid.

It is an abomination to God. According to His Holy Word.
We didn't make the rules. We just try to live by them.

some people are just too stupid to see through the 'gay' thing. they are so used to being heterosexual that anything else would be so awful to them. i think to each his/her own and more people should be more openly gay.
