I have twin 15 yr old step daughters from my 11yr olds father (never married him but were together for 13 yrs) I raised the twins with him sense they were 1yrs. old and I get visitation with them just out of my ex's kind heart (their real mom CALLS once every two years)
anyways, I am now going to marry someone who has a 20yr old daughter and I thought it would be cute to present his daughter and my daughter (11yr old) with half a locket to show their connection to each other, at the cerimony. but the twins are very sensitive to the fact that I'm not thier REAL mom. how can I do this without hurting their feelings? should I not do it?

I agree with Alaska - all of them are your daughters, they all have a place in your heart and to exclude any of them may have long range repercussions. Include them all with a memento - the 20 year-old stepdaughter-to-be will be joining the other 3 in your heart - give them all hearts.

Well defiantly go to a higher quantity jeweler and get something that can split in 4 or get them matching bracelets that have encouraging words like "love * friendship * Courage * Sisters" they all should be considered sisters to each other and have the right to be acknowledged equally :)

Include all of them or none. If you've basically raised these children as your own and they're as sensitive to the issue as you say they are, they'll take it as a slap in the face for you to exclude them.

the twins seem like they are just like your children too and i say maybe you buy them matching braclets or rings or all the same locket because they will feel left out and i think their dad would be upset good luck
