Why is it you people believe in the bible, this book was written with the hand of man, not the hand of god. How did god tell this man what to write when there is no god. when storied are passed down, they change from person to person.
What makes you think anything is the bible is true, if it can not be proven?
and yes I am Atheist, and no I do not believe in god.

I do not want to offend anyone because everyone has a right to their beliefs, but I just want to know what in the bible should be believable

Because religious people are incapable of rational thought. They are brainwashed into this idea of 'faith', which means to believe in something despite there being no proof. The insidiousness of brainwashing is so severe that in most cases the subject automatically rejects any rational thought what so ever. In rare cases and enslaved mind may be able to overcome such brainwashing. (All brainwashed people are capable of this, but it is still rare.) However, this takes many years of having their fragile belief system crumble around them before they begin to see the truth. In many cases, the more their belief system crumbles the more they cling to their irrational belief. This is how religious fanatics are created.

Most Christians do not believe the Bible because they understand everything in it, they believe because they have found enough truths that they are willing to take the rest as fact.
God told man what to write through His Holy Spirit.
Directly science can not prove that God exists. Usually God works through set rules, science calls these laws of nature. When God does something different (like make the sun stand still for 24 hrs, or heals a person of some incurable disease or injury) science can not prove it buy reproducing it, so they say that does not prove God exists. Someone I know had broken his arm and gone to the hospital, where they took an ex-ray. Then his pastor came in and prayed for him and his arm was healed. Of course the doctor did not believe it, but he finally took another ex-ray to show them. He came back with the new ex-ray that showed the arm was healed!!
Do you know what he said?
The doctor said that there must be something wrong with the patience mind for believing that he had a broken arm.
The doctor had two ex-rays that he had taken and all he can think of was to say the the person must have a mental problem.
As far as you knowing, have you every asked God to reveal Himself to you?
Or you could go to a spirit filled church (Pentecostal or Apostoletic) and have them pray for you, that you may know for yourself.
If He does not exist, what have you got to lose?
But if He does exist, what can you gain?

Its a big leap of faith, I admit. We don't all believe in the same idea of a God. Some of us see it more as a positive force, some as karma -- but mostly we think of it as something larger than ourselves. How do children know when they are doing something bad? How did we get the capacity to grasp good and evil if there isn't clearly definied good and evil?
Its true that over the years the writings of the Bible have been altered and abridged. Most of us aren't literalists but we believe that the essence of it, that there is something else, and that life is better for all of us if we live by a loving and forgiving code of honor.

You must know God before being able to answer that. Christians including myself believe He is omnipotent and His power is ummeasurable. He may have inspired a few men to begin the bible and oversaw it Himself that it was true. Him being so immeasurably powerful and we being mere humans, it is impossible for us to know why or how he does what he does.
Religon and Spirituality are different things. Religon is rules, Spirituality is belief. Christianity is mostly Religon now, but a good Christian will be more spiritual than religous, really.
Also remember that the Catholic Church DID alter the bible on a large scale. Words and sentences were added and entire scriptures taken out. Various excuses have been proposed, but I blame no one for questioning the Bible.

Do you believe that humans have rule over all of the animals of the earth? Can you prove it? If so, then you believe something that is in the Bible (Genesis 1:26). See, God has already made you a believer. You keep it up soon you'll be spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. (no sarcasm included)

i remember a time when eggs were bad for you, very bad. then they became good for you. what we accept as true changes all the time, science will prove one thing one way then the other and then there we go chasing the idea because of this and that, that's crazy. The bible has not changed, and that is amazing. you are not required to believe in any part of it, but you will know the truth and the truth will set you free; figure that one out.

People believe the bible because they are afraid not to. I think people want so badly to believe there is something after this life that they cling to this book that offers no proof of anything.

I believe in God, but not religion, and I believe it's better to accept someones beliefs than to attack them.
Once someone believes in the bible it would take a stronger argument than yours to sway them.
