live purposefully and think about the consequences of your actions - recycle, use less water, try to conserve - and don't be afraid to explain why you do things. lots of people just don't think about what they are doing to the environment and to the next generation. look into green construction and living off the grid. grow your own food! walk or ride a bike... there are lots of things that seem really small, but when they are added together over a lifetime, they and the ripples that they make in other peoples' thinking can make a difference. good luck!

Model personal responsibility, for all choices that we make and their consequences-whether in relationships, stewardship of finances and the environment, morality, etc. Play by: "The buck stops here." instead of "pass the buck". It isn't only our environment we can leave a mess, but are we teaching our young people to think? Anyone can watch TV and then state opinions heard there as if they were his/her own. Demonstrate gratitude and common courtesy. These things are caught by example.

On a global scale, begin by reducing dependecy on fossil fuels, restrict development in the rain forests, drive out hunger in the world, and explore space.

On an indiviudal level, treat each human being like they are your brother, conserve water, electricity, and fuel -- promote recyling,
etc, and plant a tree.

Seems easy -- but its not.

Realize that if each 'thing' you did, multiplied by millions, is a positive earth friendly thing...you made a good choice - If NOT, don't do it. I think people would live differently if they asked themselves this question - don't you?
