To back up the whole registry, use the Backup utility to back up the system state. The system state includes the registry, the COM+ Class Registration Database, and your boot files. open the registry explorer by typing regedit in "RUN".

select the key u want to back up on the left half plane.
and from file menu, select export and save with any name u want to give.

to add the registry entry to a registry, double click on the '.reg' file u created by exporting the key.

Hi
Go to start menu choose RUN > type REGEDIT > once the registery eidtor opens > select my computer and in the file menu choose export and select the location where you want to save the .reg file.

start-run-type regedit-click ok, when it opens click on file-export, and choose a place to save it
