well I think that depends on whta kind of hair you have. I have long straight hair so I pretty much use any of those and haven't noticed a difference. But I sure someone with frizzy hair will notice, as well as someone who colors their hair because the color shampoo is suppose to make the color last longer.

My daughter colors her hair and only uses special shampoo for color-treated hair. I don't know if it works and neither does she, but she says that she doesn't want to take any chances. My husband would was his hair with dish soap if nothing was available! I've tried different formulas (moisture, cleansing, normal, 2-1) and I don't notices a heck of a lot of difference. Maybe the 2-1 makes my hair a bit easier to comb out when it's wet. I have used shampoos that have left my hair feeling dirty or greasy. Or my scalp really dry. And that's not necessarily with a 99 cent shampoo. I have two that I switch between and they're both just for regular hair.

Yes there is a difference in shampoos. However you much be aware that because the bottle says something it is going to happen for you. Not all shampoos go with all hair types. Over the period of growing up, you should see what works for you and what doesn't. Use the one that works for you and don't just change shampoos because it goes with someone elses hair.
You must try it for yourself with your own hair. That is the ONLY way you will know if it works for you. Even within the same family we have four difference hair types. So we do have four bottles of shampoo in the house. Thank God we have more than one bathroom.

yes because some are for dandruff, moisturizers, smell shampoo, and also for treatable colored hair(not to remove color from hair)
