your dog should be on revolution -- it's an anti-tick and -flea medication that will save you thousands in vet bills, later. dogs are very suceptible to ticks and fleas, which cause parasites (worms) and can kill your pet. as for your symptoms, that definitely sounds like lyme disease. try doing an image search on yahoo! or google for 'lyme disease' and you'll see what i mean. i would see a doctor as soon as possible -- lyme disease is not something to be taken lightly: (quoted from wikipedia) "Early detection and prompt antibiotic treatment usually result in an excellent prognosis, though some patients remain symptomatic. Delayed or inadequate treatment may lead to a chronic illness that is disabling and difficult to treat."

I'm in the woods a lot with my dogs and this is the worst tick season I've ever known. If I went to the doctor every time I pulled a tick from my flesh I'd be doing nothing but driving and sitting in a waiting room. Ten ticks a day, at least.

Wood ticks are harmless and the most common. They're about a sixteenth of an inch long. Deer ticks are the ones that carry Lyme. I've never seen one. They're tiny, smaller than the head of a pin.

Get some Frontline for poor Sugar.

Was it a deer tick? They're the biggest spreader of lyme disease. How long ago was this, and let me see the bite. There is also a chance that you ripped the body off leaving the head under the skin, which means you should probably have someone(doctor) remove it carefully or you will get an infection.

Yes I don't want to scare you sweetie..I know you wrote you are just a teenager...but yes if you have had a tick on you....and it is now gone but over a period of a few days you get a red ring around the spot it was in..then yes there is a very good chance that you have Lyme disease. Go and get it checked ASAP. Good Luck:)

If you don't know much about ticks and you see a circular welt from a tick bite, I'd have a doctor check it. It couldn't hurt to be tested for lyme disease.

Don't blame the dog. Anyone (person or animal) can bring ticks indoors.

Always check yourself & your pets when they come inside during tick season.

Give is a flea & tick bath, go the store or vet and get flea & tick medicine to put on your dog once a month. Dont forget to also buy some products for your home to spray your rugs, etc. and vacuum the rugs and through the vacuum bag away ASAP,

You said you went to the doctor, good! Now go give your dog a tick bath! Ticks cause Lyme disease and tick paralysis, this can kill your dog! Get them off!

I would definately go to the doctors as soon as you can. Lyme Disease usually produces a red ring around the bite.

He'll pass down as a cultural legend, now not a rap legend. Doggystyle is Snoop Dogg's legacy....would as good put out of your mind the whole thing else he is performed. I like any his albums from Doggystyle - Tha Last Meal + Tha Blue Carpet Treatment. But admittedly, Doggystyle is the one factor valued at citing. He's regularly greater recognized for smoking weed than for his song. BQ: Somewhere inside one hundred.

It takes 36 to 48 hours for a tick to be on your body, before you get Lyme Disease, but keep an eye on it & if you get a bulls eye look to it be sure & see your Dr.Ticks sre so bad here, I even dread getting outside, just be sure & spray yourself good, when going outside.
