I've tried the pill for years, Depo and got pregnant. I am tired of taking the pill, taking bc altogether but do not want anymore children at this time (for a long time). If you have had Mirena, are on it now...please tell me your experience with it, the costs involved. I am weighing my pro's and cons.
Thanks Ladies/gentlemen too (especially if your wives/gf's are on it)...

I am currently on it and like it. The biggest con is it makes your cycles irregular (they are so sporadic, you never know when it's coming), however some women (like 93%) lose there cycle all together. But other than that, it's really great. It has all of the same side effects as other birth controls and you can't miss a dose!

I am on it and I haven't had any problems other than irregular periods. I won't have them for 2 months and then all of a sudden I do. It does hurt when they put the insert in, but it doesn't last and if you really think about it a few minutes of uncomfort is worth 5 years of baby free. I think it costed around 500 dollars, but I'm not sure cause I was on medicaid still after having my first baby and medicaid paid for it. I haven't had any problems and I don't even know it is there.
